Love ankle boots. They are my favourite type of boots. Seen a couple in black and Animal print that I am absolutely loving currently. Wouldnt be as obsessed with them when im buying as I am now going through them online. 5 pairs might be pushing it for me though.

Great ideas as always. I agree with you on ankle boots with skirts or dresses...it's tricky and can go wrong quickly by cutting you off in all the wrong places.

Love this, ankle boot rut, lol. Spent last night looking for a vest for an Annie Hall look and boy, is that out of style, almost opposite balloon sleeves which I will not be buying. Decided to pair my cool necktie scarf with a button down v-neck sweater.

Which would be better if I had to get one pair other than black? A suede darker tan or suede brown? I like the black jeans with the black boots best....or blue jeans. It seems that ALL pants, jeans included are at or above the ankle. I'm only 5' 2", very petite. So SHOULD I HAVE ALL MY PANTS SHORTENED TO ANKLE OR ABOVE? THOUGHTS, PLEASE

Hi, Gemma, thanks for another great video, I always love them! I agree, slimmer-fitting ankle boots look best with skirts and dresses - much better than those cut wider at the ankle and lower calf. I did finally get a pair of white ankle boots on sale recently-this trend is past its peak, but it took that long to find a pair in my size (shoes here in the US tend to vanish overnight in my extremely-common size, 7.5). I wear a lot of white jeans and other trousers in the winter, so I think I will still get some good mileage out if them. I usually buy last-year’s style footwear when they are out of season, it makes it easier to find my size and a good price. Fashion here in California runs about two years behind Europe anyway. I think ankle boots with skirts, but without tights, looks a little silly; if it’s cold enough to wear boots, why go bare-legged? A similar recent look is cropped trousers showing 6” of leg, with heavy winter layers of jackets, blazers, scarves, and hats in the dead of winter! First of all, clothing should be practical and appropriate for the weather - every time I see someone in these looks I think “she must be freezing”, rather than “stylish outfit”!

Love boots, tan ones, animal print ones with plain clothes. I don't like the boot with bare leg look, remind me of wellies. I've just ruined my black suede boots in the woods with Willy.

Gemma, I just returned some Michael Kors ankle boots (light brown) which I absolutely loved but there was an issue with the zipper so I had to return them; which was very disappointing. I love the pencil skirt with the ankle boot combos; very much my style. Gotta find a replacement now 😞 Thanks for the lovely video 😘

I see a lot of slim tall models everything looks good on them of course, what about us petite curvy figure ladies? I have thick thighs but I feel my legs are on the slim side. That's why I hate skinny Jean's. Not for me.
wear a longer top or longer sweater to cover the area. Accentuate the positive. I always show my calves and wrists because those are the thinnest part of my body so I show them off, my knees are ok too. Longer neck is achieved with v-necks. I love skinny jeans because they fit inside the boots. Try everything on, you'd be surprised how many things you thought wouldn't look good on you look great! Even a lil heel elongates the leg. I know all the tricks lol

To prove your point when showing Clothes for people of a certain age you have to have that age group modelling those clothes, no woman that I know that is over 40 looks like you models.
I wouldn’t be able to make videos in that case as there are very few images available of over 40 models / people available. If I could find images of women wearing the styles I love (and wear myself) then trust me I’d include them 🤷🏻♀️
🌹I am 69 and find these examples very relatable to me. I am slim and average height but still wear these styles and appreciate this channel and the examples she uses, they’re not teens and young women, they’re women period. ❤️🥰
All with skinny trousers. Here in LA the skinny’s are still in but the straight leg is being seen more and more. I’d like to see ankle boots with other style of jeans.

Just have to find the right ones! The best thing to do is find a pair that fits your widest part then have them altered.

I don't know where people wear these clothes - not many where I live! All I see is jeans, casual sweaters, sloppy tops and flat boots! Most young people at the mall and casual restaurants don't dress up or look anything like "put together"!
That's their cross to bare lol They don't care about fashion...no crime. But, there are always a few fashionistas in the crowd in my experience.
Some people can't wear "skinny jeans" I'm one of those people. Boot cut is most flattering on me. I like wearing booties with a dress. That's my favorite. No offense, but I really don't see much variety here. Edit: I always wear tights with my dresses and boots 😉

Hi Gaby, the photos are of younger women you’re right. I simply can’t find many photos of women over 40 wearing the styles I love. The styles I pick are all outfits I would wear and I’m over 40. My viewers are mainly over 40 as well so that is why that tag is in the title
Gaby Finnell that is frustrating, I know! But I too look at what the younger women are wearing and then decide if it would be appropriate for me at 60! I am not ready for orthopaedic shoes yet, lol!
I'm 79 and I still wear tights and boots! I wear thicker and more pants-style rights and ankle boots, calf high boots and higher boots. Not much heel on either. As long as you're not fat, they look fine!
Older women can wear many things young people wear but skinny jeans and heels are not one of them!

idk maybe I would expect the RUclipsr would show pics of herself or her over 40 friends teaching us how to wear ankle boots ... but hey! It’s just my opinion 😉
