Awesome brother 👍 I just found your other channel. I have a old tri hull boat I've been thinking about converting too. Good luck with your project man. God bless
@@MrJustinWheeler no motor yet, but I have a buddy that bought a junker boat and we're trying to come together on a trade. Hopefully soon. Thanks man 👍
i got a chaparral 15 deluxe interior looked like it came off the showroom floor. 250 bucks from a thrift store. The 55 rude selectric shift wiring was just powder. You would touch the wiring and it would just turn to dust. I bought a brand new engine side harness and started buying all the ancillary engine parts electric choke wiring thermostat ignition coil connecting wiring put everything back to plug in status. Bought a new power box and plugs new points like 40 bucks a set motor ran like a sewing machine. Sold it to my neighbor 1000 bucks. I probably had near that in it. I want another short trihull.
Hey Justin I found your videos on here becuase I'm looking to do the same thing with 2 old speed boats i have one is a tri hull the other is not but one has a open front that I can work with the other is closed front but I wanna turn it into a open front so please continue this video series so I can learn
The motor does not run at the moment. It was a attempted do it yoirself gone wrong. Wiring was all messed up and the starter was toast. Waiting on a new one right now but the motor is vlean and well taken care of should run fine once put back together properly. The final goal is a decent fishing boat and weekend toy for the family. Ill be posting a time laps video of the whole process once dun
Too bad you sold the invader, that would have been a better set up. Better motor even with the two low cylinders. Chrysler outboards can be tricky. I just my sold 77 invader with a 40hp mariner outboard. Bought for $600, spent a few weeks fixing it up and enjoyed it for one season, sold for $1600. Upgraded to a deep v with a 140hp evinrude, difference is night and day the deep v cuts through waves and chop like a knife. Interested to see where this project takes you

That’s awesome! Is your motor any good? I’ve got a jet ski motor in mine now. Haven’t gotten it finished yet but getting close!
