    Today I checked out all the new tools from Makita at the Equip Expo 2023. Which one is your favorite? Is there anything you would like to see Makita add to their outdoor power equipment lineup?

    Is it worth it to upgrade to the telescopoing pole saw?

      It definitely looks, and sounds, like it

      After I heard the telesscoping pole saw is way faster, I had to test it.

      $599.99 tool only.
      You got it weight the benefit against price.
      Recently bought a Dewalt DCPS620BR for less than $150. If can handle the idea that you could bought 4 for the price of one, then makes sense

      It may be worth it to a landscape contractor, but for a homeowner like me, no I'm not upgrading. It will just take me a little longer.

    Mark, love the channel, been subbed and watching for a while now. That little 15 second comparison cutting through the walnut shows me Milwaukee is growing from a full-range power tool brand with outdoor power equipment offerings, to being a legit OPE brand. It won’t happen all at once, but it’s definitely underway

      Thanks, Brendan! I didn't realize how fast it was until I watched the video. It went through that like butter!💪💯

    Lol, dang brother, that is pretty BA. I am looking forward to getting it. I have 12 acres around the house that i try and maintain. Plus another 43 that is all wooded. I use the powerhead attachment presently, seeing how powerful and fast the new unit is, i believe the upgrade is warranted.
    Thanks for the video brother.

    Ego commercial pole saw is pretty dam good. Would like to see comparison.

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  5 месяцев назад

      I've seen the Ego saw in person, but haven't tried it yet. I believe the pole portion of the saw is made of carbon fiber, so it's not as heavy to operate.

    • @ReasonablleDoubt
      @ReasonablleDoubt 5 месяцев назад

      @@MarkThomasBuilder the non commercial carbon fiber one is not too heavy. The carbon fiber helps. The commercial one would be a great comparison to the Milwaukee. It disconnects in half so easy to transport and service. From the looks of it Milwaukee looks more powerful.

    The only concern I have and I don’t you see you mention it in the video is the actual quality. I have 20 acres of almost all dead trees so lots of trimming. Will the Quick Lock version sag too much? I can tell that the actual pole saw is much beefer on the video but how much does that actually matter? Thanks

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  2 месяца назад

      The quality of the M18 Pole Saw is excellent. I'd grab that every time before my Quik-Lok, which is still a great saw.

      Interesting... I was recently using this in a 35' lift for some storm damage cleanup, and was glad to not have to pull-start it. This took out some big limbs no problem. No warm up time either.
      What was your experience?

      I really like mine, way more powerful than gas
