@@Farimira Interesting. I learned at school (graduate school) that a French company developped this kind of markings but in France, the law states that the lines must be white (during the night as well), so these glowing markings are illegal (as long as the law doesn't change)
The basement picture at Chernobyl and that big blob of radiation is called “the elephants foot.” There are pictures of people standing next to it and you gotta think that those people probably didn’t last very long afterward.😅
Actually for the paint vs reflectors debate, the reflectors take longer to individually install, have to be specifically jackhammered out before redoing a road and they can damage and cause metal debris on roads. If the reflective paint goes and drys similarly to normal road paint then 2 miles of it can be put down and dry enough to not track in a little over an hour, it wouldn’t cause dangerous debris and would come up with the road whenever it is resurfaced.

I am from Nottingham and I went to the Goose Fair this year, and it is just spectacular, especially for our small city of only 250,000, it has like 100 rides in the fair and some of the best food you will ever eat (suprisingly)
So I Googled it, and the animal that can endure the coldest temperatures is the tardigrade (water bear). I shoulda known, those things are wild. One specimen, aptly named Mike the Durable, survived -273 or just a fraction of a degree above absolute zero. They can also survive at +150 degrees, as well as intense radiation or even outer space.

More than likely the "Bear" computer was either an electronic engine calibration computer (i.e an analyzer too aid in emissions control, tune-up, and/or similar device for 70s/80s/90s vehicles) or a calibration computer too aid in wheel/frame alignment of cars/trucks/etc. Bear manufactured many different types of automotive repair machines (front end, frame [body shop], engine). Even software too keep their computer systems up to date. Bear also made similar more "mechanical" devices even before the 1970s (1960s and before).
The reason that much more rock than just enough to get the faces was removed is because initially the intention was to have the presidents body down to their waist to also be carved on the mountain. They simply stopped once the heads were complete and never finished the rest.
