- How to play Lenny Kravitz “it ain’t over till it’s over” the right way. After watching some (close but incorrect) tutorials I felt moved to put out an accurate guitar lesson on this beloved beautiful masterpiece. I did not include the lead, but I will do a tutorial on that if enough of you ask.
He's the only person who explains how to play a song on guitar in a way I can actually understand. Mad respect👊
thank you for watching!
Other videos have the right chords but it misses the whole vibe of the song. This is exactly what I have been looking for, thank you.
You’re welcome 🙏🏼 I’m glad it helped 🎸
Sitting here in Cairns Australia sipping a beer found this clip tis spot on man cheers mate 👍

Let's do it right... Haha 😆
Indeed man. Just awesome! Thanks for those correct chords and rhythm patterns. Finally someone did it right 👍
Thank you, and thanks for watching 🎸
I am pro doing it right. A lot of the tutorials, not just on this song but most songs, they will for example teach a full chord which includes the notes you play and more because that’s the lazy way to do it. But for it to sound right and to use the same techniques and voicings, which is what I really want to learn, that’s a lot deeper dive to find one or maybe a combination of tutorials and watching the original artist if I can to get it right.
You just gained a subscriber.
It’s funny, for this tune, I just saw your picture and thought, “That’s the guy.”
Thanks for the kind words and for watching, I'm glad it helped !
@@SeanHallGuitar : I heard that Lenny Kravitz played all the instruments on the recording. Do you know if that’s true?
@@JohnOhkumaThiel that seems to be the case ✅
@@SeanHallGuitar I knew John Meyer as a student at Berklee. That kid was so focused, so hard working, he could succeed at anything. He was on the sequencer every day, which was a fairly new thing at the time. I think it’s really great the technology we have today which is reach of the average musician.
@@JohnOhkumaThiel that’s awesome, he’s a fantastic player !

Lenny played the guitar parts on the album. Craig wasn’t part of the band yet.
I figured so, good to know! Thank you 🙏🏼
Saw Lenny at Dodger stadium with Bowie.
I bet that was awesome- that explains how he got Bowie’s bass player- she rocks!
@@SeanHallGuitar It was epic. I didn't know he got his bass player.
What about the bridge?
I’ve been thinking about doing a bridge tutorial with rhythm chords and lead, if a few more people jump on board with the idea, I’ll make it happen 🎸
E o solo?
It always sounded like Earth Wind and Fire to me...
