Honestly, im glad they didnt make Tulio the antagonist. The way he doesnt force Linda, just makes him a whole new level of kind.
And instead, Nigel was the antagonist.
LOL thats so funny
@@okjeffy6581 More like the smugglers, since they kept Nigel as their minion.
@The Gamer Revenge? On who?
@The Gamer Right, right, I never knew the backstory at all
Im Brazilian and never saw this movie in English, so it’s cool that they gave Túlio an accent(though it’s not as thick as normally for someone in his work place) and that he screams Arara when he sees Blue(cause Arara is the word for parrot in Portuguese)
Oh thought he was drunk when I was a kid
Same for me too! I watched this movie in Spanish as child, so when I first watched it in English I thought it was very smooth how they gave him an accent.
Same
Uhhhh...I thought that the Portuguese word for "Parrot" was "LORO"...and that the word "Arara" stands for "MACAW".
I know because Brazil has a HUGE diversity of Parrot species...and ONLY MACAWS are refered to as "Araras".
@@_AntonioRipoll My husband is brazilian and yeah, there are so many words. He gets really upset with me when I make fun of it. Like there are words for crab. And the only difference is the shape of the back legs. Of they are legs or the flat flipper legs. He get upset when I call them both "crab"

1:03
i thought he was gonna say "freezing your ass" then those birds showing their butt on him lol
3:23 I think Tulio was right. That's why he didn't have the flight inside his heart. When Blu flew for the first time, he had spent some time away from Linda while he and Jewel tried to get rid of the chains. In the meantime, he ended up recovering his instincts, like at Nico and Pedro's club, where he starts dancing without even realizing it. When he and Jewel kissed, he flew because he finally had the instincts inside his heart after using them to save the love of his life.
So true
Agree
True analysis 💯
Until he eats feather to track blu
For someone who cares so much, he threw the bird and expected him to fly.
Yep
bro how would he know a bird with wings couldn’t fly lmao blue is special
Exactly 🤣 “he could be the last male”
Then proceeds to throw it.
What if it died lol. It’s just a movie tho but that would be funny
@@bandonkadonk you can’t just yeet a bird and expect it to fly
@@teal3af49 well he is a specialist when it comes to birds. He noticed nothing visibly wrong with the bird, and it's probably very unlikely a fully grown bird doesn't know how to fly.
I just rewatched this movie and it gives us two morals:
1. True courage is spreading your wings and doing what is right, even if it seems scary at first (Referring to Blu working up the courage to fly)
2. If you love something, set it free. (The way all the birds fly free at the end)
Tulio is increadibly unprofessional XD
Hes pretty much revealing that he internet stalked her bird and flew across the world with an already planned breeding program hes assumed her participation in, which includes a sketchy free vacation deal.
I feel like step one is to call, inform the owner they may have the last male of the species and arrainge a meeting. You dont just bust your face on a persons place of work and tell them to drop their life for your projects (thats how you get shoved out the door).
Uhhh who says he was stalking at all? He was looking for a male macaw. He never said which one.
Well it’s all exaggerated, it’s making ornithologists look like crazed scientists to keep the kids watching. Most irl ornithologists wouldn’t just grab a persons pet parrot and yeet it across the room to see if it can fly
I like that Tulio is telling Linda that Blu is the last male of his kind and thinks he should come to Brazil to save their species but Linda never lets Blu out of her sight he needs her
"In real life blue would have died from eating chocolates" In real life blue couldn't talk like human either or do the things he does in the movie.
Edit: Why so many people are replying "it just a movie/it's not that deep" Like umm that's exactly what I meant? Some of y'all need glasses or reading skills.
But he doesn't. The humans don't understand him.
@@mitchelllombard3789 and? Humans don't act like that in real life either. Pet owners know very well what to give to their pets.
bro, its jsut a cartoon, they exeggerate life, thats the point of it all, you dont have to look so deep into it and question the reality of a cartoon. You have the freakin geese throwing snowballs and you didnt question that lol.
@@Souchi-ito fr. I don’t understand how she just “knew” how to take care of him lol
@@Souchi-ito bro r u for real it’s a show it’s not real if u don’t like it why r u here
You know, this morning scene somehow puts me in a wistful, sad mood when you think it was their last wonderful, normal routine day in their adorable, small bookstore and its lovely, upstairs apartment upstairs. And the morning after that day, Linda and Blu left, and never returned home again!
I happen to like a lot of small boutiques, restaurants, cafes, offices and other places along the street and their upstairs flats and I would be ready for anything if I could own a shop, shop and a living room like that in a bookstore just upstairs. living a normal routine, simple modern and peaceful life, etc.
Therefore, I, too, on behalf of Linda and Blu, grieve and annoy when they left that lovely and safe home and probably even closed the whole place. Quite awful, or what and so sad !!
Well, to put your heart at some ease, in the credits they show a picture of Tulio, Linda and Blu opening up a new bookstore in Rio that's built exactly the same as Linda's old store. So maybe they didn't fully leave that life, they got to continue their cozy little routine in nice and sunny Rio, where I'm sure they'll get lots of customers too! :)
@@gothbat676 Sure, but that life between the two ... it had its own lovely and great sides, but that's quite true!
There are necessary changes in life, each one brings an experience. If we all lived safe, we would never know other things. And in the end, she has her home in Rio de Janeiro with a bookstore just like
to her previous one.
@@vig4259 Yes, that is absolutely true, you are absolutely right
Guys, the Blue Macaw/Spix’s Macaw is not extinct. In fact, they’re still a couple left in captivity and are being used for breeding before being introduced back into the wild. It is a long process since they are endangered.
Unfortunately the definition of extinct is that there is no more left in the wild.
@@user-pk9sn4bj2j Not really. Extinct itself means that they are gone from existence.
@@Avis-Finch No, that’s the point I was trying to make. It’s often interpreted as they are gone from existence, but that’s not what the word means. That was at least what I was taught when I was young.

parrots arent domesticated
@@derind9191 Then Blue is a wild animal? 😂😂
@@tizyman7120 Domesticated means they have been in captivity for so long that they become a totally different species like dogs, cats, and ferrets. No parrots are domestic.
@@derind9191 this movie is fictional, but blu really is domesticated if you saw the movie
Birds are not domesticated animals. Domestic animals are animals that have been bred for hundreds of years to live in the care of humans and are distinct from their wild ancestors. Birds commonly kept as pets are no different than their wild relatives they are the native species of other countries.

This was my favourite scene when i was kid
You know for an old film the human animation actually holds up pretty well
I like this scene really goes to show what it is like having wild animals as pets. If one truly loved them, they will set them free in their environment instead of keeping them for own benefit.
“If you love something, set it free. If it returns, it’s yours. If it doesn’t, it was never meant to be.”
I get where you are coming from but that doe'snt really work here, while yes, Blu does eventually return to the wild, Linda was never "Keeping him for her own benefit" They had a bond and genuine friendship, when they found each other both needed a friend in that time, and while Linda did have Blu, she gave him the absolute best quality of life she could, she spoiled that bird XD so yeah Linda isnt that kinda character

To all of you saying how chocolate is “poisonous” to birds,,
There may have been cases where chocolate messed with them, but that’s not for every bird. I won’t even point out a breed or species- it’s different for EVERY bird. Like how some dogs can actually digest chocolate and LOVE it! Isn’t that said to be poisonous to dogs too? Don’t close off your mind unless you’ve experienced it yourself :)

The blue macaw is officially extinct. The saddest fact ....... 2010-2015 were the best times.
In the wild. They're bred in captivity ever since to save the species, which is hard because there really was a time when only one male was left to breed with a few females, so all the macaws living now are somehow related. Hard to avoid incest breeding that way
Its not extinct
