Gran Canaria San Mateo Excursion to the Farmers Market Sightseeing Sommer 2019 4K

Gran Canaria Vega de San Mateo is a place with agricultural tradition. Vega means river plain or floodplain, which indicates a fertile landscape. The area owes its humid climate to the trade wind. We made a excursion to the Famers Market of San Mateo, where the local farmers sell fruits, vegetables, honey, wine, pastries and cheese. The prices are fixed and are written on the wall in middle of the market.Then we visited a historical watering place where laundry was also washed in the past. And finally a view over the valley with its fincas and terraced fields. The market is usually three times as big, but is currently undergoing a fundamental overhaul. Open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Love Canarias
