Thank you for the refreshing video! Makes me really calm down to see something that's not all calligraphy and artistic and complicated! Don't get me wrong, I do really enjoy the artsy stuff in videos as well, but sometimes it can be a little overwhelming. I also find it interesting to see the comments here saying that this isn't a bullet journal, when in fact this is so much more like the original system than a lot of the other ones here on RUclips, most "bullet journals" on social media is not bullet journals at all, but diy planners (nothing wrong with that though!!! They are beautiful and as long as it's functional it's perfect for those making them!)
I've been watching tons of videos on bullet journaling and how I can incorporate it into my daily planning but everything out there seems too busy and complicated for my already complicated life. Yours, on the other hand, I LOVE! It's simple, it's fast, and it gets the job done. Finally...something I can work with. Thanks so much for sharing.
I like how practical you are with this. I enjoy the high level decorators, but it's nice seeing someone who just makes it work for them, which is the way I approach it myself.
I really enjoyed your video and the simplicity of your planner. At the moment, I'm trying my best to steer away from stickers and that cute fun stuff. I love it, but a bit overwhelming at times. So, thank you! I love the fact that theres a TN video out there that isn't jammed packed with dashboards and stickers. The temptation is real and its hard to stay away.
Am glad I came across your video. ILtely i have been struggling to use my planner since I always felt that there is a need to decorate my planner before I can put in the things i need to do for today. But I am always busy that decorating it is a luxury. So I am following your lead. Will just dive in and write the things I need to do and don't mind if doesn't look pretty as long as I get to accomplish the things I need to do. :) Thank you!
how refreshing with someone who scribbles with a "normal" handwriting and not caligraphing😆 makes me feel relaxed and back focusing to what my scribbles mean to me and not how pleasing it is to the eye! 😃
Thanks for sharing your journal (I wish I saw this yrs ago).........I've been struggling for years to find my groove with a planner! I just need to stop over thinking it and keep it simple! :)
thank you so so so much for this video. as much i like the cutesy stuff i feel like it's rly hard to find videos about organizational strategies in your planner. i have brain damage so these sort of videos really help to learn how to manage my life. thank you!
Omg, If I could I would like this video ten times :) Video is great and you seem so lovely. I agree with the book The ONE Thing. It has changed my style of performing everyday-life and one of my reasons to have a bullet journal comes from that. It helps me to do the one thing. I have a bullet journal inspired bujo with my own twist. I like that traveller's notebook idea, I might take up on that. Thank you!
I like your videos! It helps me bring me back to the point of bullet journaling for me and thats to organise my study. I guess after looking at videos of those that put more artsy stuff and more decorating in their bujos made me stressed out on my bujo. So this helped me! Thx :)
this looks a lot like my very first bullet journal. its just a plain lined journal from a dollar store i wasnt using. but really wanted a bullet journal for the school year. its so messy and all over the place. but i can read it and understand it. however still learning and finding my own style. simple is better i think. heh.
It doesn't need to be pretty, it just needs to work :) Just go ahead, make mistakes and always consider to redesign if it takes much time to work on it. The concept is that it should help you to keep track of tasks/ideas, etc whilst helping you to design your future.
It helped me when I started with a small notebook like these or you can do a cahier (I think that's the spelling) by moleskin. That way if I want to go a new route, I don't waste a huge notebook.
Totally not a question about the bujo, but where did you find that ring?! I search for an index finger ring often but am never sure if it'll be what I want once it's shipped; so I never buy!! Very cute!!
Hey there, great video! You mentioned pen pals, not sure if you've explained this in another video, but how did you find your pen pals? I know there are a few online platforms to match people, have you used one of them?
+taptitecaro Hello! All of my pen pal friendships were formed on Instagram. A few years back I came across a few accounts that showcased their "snail mail," so I asked if they would be open to exchanging some snail mail and letters with me as well, and they agreed! From there, I've kept in touch with them, developed stronger bonds, and met wonderful new friends along the way! If you're active on Instagram, you may be able to find friends and pen pals using the hashtags #snailmail, #penpals #letterwriting...etc. I hope this helps!
The post-it notes are ideas or to-dos I think of while I'm at work, out and about, shopping..etc. So they're used to quickly capture the thoughts at that particular moment when my planner is not with me or in reach. And instead of rewriting everything down in my planner, I just stick them on the page to save time.
LOVEE YOUR VIDEO this is so cool... Because I so wanted to start a bullet journal but I was always worried about what or how it would look like and not pretty... Yours it's real and simple. Not that every one esle isn't cool in there own way. But yeah I totally like yours so much...... I know this might not have anything to do with the video but was wondering if your a scorpio ? ;-) I ask because that's what I do for fun I like to guess signs... And see if I could be right... But anyway your video helps me not to fell nervous about this.. However I'm still wannu try to figure out a way to separate my errands todo list from other things but this helps be try and make it geared to me.... Peace and blessings;:)
Thank you so much! Just remember, a journaler/daily planner is always for you...not to please other people. Just do what you like and set it up how you want to. :)
It’s kind of not ok that you’re using Ryder Carroll’s system name to draw in views, only to say you literally don’t bullet journal at all. You draw check boxes. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad what you’re doing works for you, but I don’t think it’s ok to appropriate “bullet journal.”
That's great but that's absolutely not a bullet journal. You're just doing to-do lists, no indx, no "future log", no "monthly logs", etc. It's fine though, just don't call it bullet journal. :)
how refreshing with someone who scribbles with a "normal" handwriting and not caligraphing😆 makes me feel relaxed and back focusing to what my scribbles mean to me and not how pleasing it is to the eye! 😃
+Scrap San Yes, just focus on your handwriting and whatever feels comfortable regardless of the outcome, or how it will look. That's where you'll feel the most ease and when daily planning and journaling will start to be a fun daily routine!

This video is a really lovely reminder to keep it simple and DO. Productivity over primping. Thank you so much!! Bravo.

Katherine Melton bulletjournal.com ACTUAL Bullet Journal, not all the hand lettering and trackers you’re seeing everywhere.
I like how practical you are with this. I enjoy the high level decorators, but it's nice seeing someone who just makes it work for them, which is the way I approach it myself.

I love simple planning. I'm not into stickers and decorating either. Love this video. There aren't many videos about simple planning styles.
I absolutely love the way you have kept it real, thank you

Loved your highlighting tasks that must be done today and can move back 1 or 2 days. Genius!

I really want to start bullet journaling but I'm so scared of messing up cuz everyone's looks so beautiful XD
It doesn't need to be pretty, it just needs to work :)

Michelle, can you please elaborate a bit more on your "Vision Board"? What did you do it on; what kind of insert? Thank you in advance!
+Carlos R. Zapata Sure! Here's a video I did explaining more of the details- ruclips.net/video/RiVKq94j0Jw/видео.html
Totally not a question about the bujo, but where did you find that ring?! I search for an index finger ring often but am never sure if it'll be what I want once it's shipped; so I never buy!! Very cute!!
How did you do the vision board insert? That's exactly what I'm wanting to do
You had me at organised mess, pretty much how I plan my life haha!
Where can I get the circular 24 h clock template?
Really enjoyed this! :)
+jennarink Well, I truly appreciate you watching! Thank you!

+Seaweed Kisses Yes! Thanks so much Michelle :)
❤ your videos
Does that Leuchtturm fit into an A6 Hobonichi cover?
+Angie Pasto It could, but it would be a little small for the cover.
I love ♥️
Why do you use post-it notes instead of writing on pages?
The post-it notes are ideas or to-dos I think of while I'm at work, out and about, shopping..etc. So they're used to quickly capture the thoughts at that particular moment when my planner is not with me or in reach. And instead of rewriting everything down in my planner, I just stick them on the page to save time.
Seaweed Kisses I see. Thanks for the answer:)
