Ik this comment is 4 years old, but I gotta say something. Going through with the Railroad until the ending won't get you "officially" banished from the Institute. X6 only becomes hostile when you get banished.
+IRedpunk Exactly. Her voice actress does her persona really well, but she's too much of a "Lawful Good" character. This is why Hancock's my favourite companion, he's a good guy but he's willing to do more controversial things for the greater good (such as violence).

+ACEgamer I simply send him to my least favorite settlement and use him as a pack rat on occasions, that's about it. When I decided to max my affinity with everyone, I thought he'd be the most challenging due to his likes (killing innocents and cannibalism), but when you kill dozens of raiders every 5 minutes, that cannibalism perk and quicksave glitch come in handy.
"Why not just shoot Maxson in the head and be done with it." This is what we in the Institute call foreshadowing. (On my most recent playthrough I shot Maxson in the back of the head with Deliverer)
Valentine and Piper are willing to negotiate with Raiders...? I get they prefer the non-violent approach to things but that's just fucked up. Lost a lot of respect for those two now. 10:20 "We're not the bad guys." Gee, I'm really not so certain about that.
