I have Topaz Video too (and photo) :D it does great, but on my computer it takes such a long time to render lol do you typically denoise etc. before grading or after? I imagine this kind of software would be a BMCC 2.5k or OG's best friend but I'd need something like an Mac Studio to use it feasibly for longer clips 😵💫
I have found that it depends on the shot. Most of the time I do the upscale and Denoise before the grade. Mainly because topaz is adding information back in even when it doesn’t upscale. Most of the time it gives a better result because your shot now has more information to work with in the grade. In saying that, I have found that with some shots it provides a better result after grade. I haven’t upgraded yet but the latest version has the resolve plugin which should make the whole process even faster.
