    The best solution for video.
    For best results (the total time ...) you need the newest cards, supporting avx.

    I have a question, what produces the best quality?
    Upscaling from 1080 to 4k or scaling 30fps to 60fps in 4k?
    Which takes longer to render?

    • @Ricer-b4n
      @Ricer-b4n 2 месяца назад

      @MelvinDlaCruz
      Upscaling from 1080 to 4k takes forever and also gets you the worst result as too high of an upscaling make your 4k file look cartoony. Just apply some enhancement to your 1080 and you'll be fine , but it still takes a long time even if you have a super fast PC with a powerful gpu.

    • @mayday6880

      Best choice is AMD flagship Ryzen9 7950X3D, but saving money you can take cheaper one Ryzen7 7800X3D. Graphic Card is more important, as faster as better, but that can be very expensive! Choose Nvidia GraphicCard not AMD because it's a AI application. I have a RTX 470 and I think it's a good compromise between cost and benefit.

    It doesn't matter how powerful or expensive your PC is, its still going to take many hours, days and even weeks to export. This guy is just doing super short couple second clips so its very misleading. Get ready to be broke from building a custome PC and waste alot of your time.
    Also, after you pay for the program even the latest version. It still don't work cuz they were holding out on you. All the models that make the program works are not in the file you paid for. If you dont connect to the web and go search for the models, nothing works. If you make any adjustments to enhence your work like whats been demonstrated in this video, it crashes, gives you an error and need to connect to the web to download the correct models for what you're asking it to do.
    It's like you bought an expensive car and they kept the key unless you go back and prove you're the owner and allow them to spy on you in order for it to work.
    If you thought the upcoming microsoft RECALL where microsoft takes screenshots of everything you do every 5 sec was bad, this video ai program already done a ton of screen shots of what you're doing waiting to be upload back to their server. So you better hide your stash of gay porn.
    But to be fair, Topaz isn't the only one wanting to spy on you. Adobe and Almost all the APs on your phones and PC does it too especially microsoft, google and apple that makes it standard on the device you overpaid for. Topaz is just following what the industry is doing instead of doing the right thing by not following the industry.

      Obviously You're using it wrong. Converting just makes your file super huge but your video still looks like the krappy original. No enhancements were done, that's why its fast. You got fooled. Even on a weak laptop it don't take long to convert.

    Thanks for the video.
    I was playing around with the test version a bit.
    IMO Iris is the best model when enhancing video with people in it.
    I tested this model with "Input Condition" set to medium and quite aggressive settings ("Parameters" set to "Relative to Auto") and I'm impressed what quality I got from old DVDs.I upscaled to full HD (1080p). Sometimes the results were almost like a Blu-ray.
    But you really need a fast machine. Especially a fast graphics card. Otherwise you have to wait for years until the processing is done ;)

    I'm a mac fan but they haven't released a computer I've wanted since the mid 2010's. The old iMac still runs, I enjoy it but of course my workflow is on a PC now running a 4080. I think that goes for everyone who learned their chops in the era of final cut on powerpc computers.

    Perhaps video AI is good for upscaling, but is a terrible product for getting rid of noise and sharpening the video. I returned it unfortunately to my disappointment.

    I have had Topaz Video AI (hereafter TVAI) since it first came out and it is a lot better and easy to use now. BUT, even on my fully-maxed out Mac Studio M1 Ultra (128 GB 8TB SSD), a five minute video can take A LONG TIME even with simple up-scaling. So, get a powerful-enough PC/MAC but still be ready to do the laundry, read a book, play a game once you export! TVAI is great but a lot this can also be done in FCPX or DaVinci Resolve.

    I love this program, been using it for years now. It can't pull miracles out of thin air, but it sure looks like it sometimes. I do a lot of upscaling movies and TV shows, this works great most of the time and really enhances the detail while removing the noise. I have 'The Shining' in 4k, but still ran it through Video AI to clean up the noise they left in the transfer. The Shining has never looked so clean and clear! Cheers 🍻

      @@Finite-Tuning Film is made up of grain, it is how it creates an image. There is no film without grain. Film converted to digital will have grain, it's part of the image. You may not like it and you are free to remove it on your own but it should always remain at some level when a film is released in a digital format.
