He always buys used cars. The way he buys them it’s easy to just collect them. It’s not like he is buying $500000 cars. Most people buy a new car every 3 years, which will set you back 40000-200000 depending on your income(if you don’t want something crappy). I like how he buys cheap cars cramped with trouble. But the trouble he gets in short time will easily add up to 40K in 3 years. So the way he buys cars isn’t quite economical.
I own one of this in France, kept it stock for 6 months and couldn't resist to tune to a good Stage 1+ These things have so much potential, 135bhp to 180bhp - 230nm to 320nm. It pulls like a Lotus !! The tuning parts are so cheap, you can modify exhaust, suspensions, chassis (in general), wheels etc etc for so little money. And trust me its so fun to drive. People don't understand why we buy them in the first place but let me tell you once they drive it they go directly buy one ! And thats been the case for so much of my friends. Even if i have the money for an AMG45 or etc i won't sell it, its just too good.
The best part about these cars, I believe, is the community around them. There's tons of good information, helpful people, and fun in the Fiat community and I encourage you to join. If you join some of the Facebook groups like "The Broken Fiat Club" you may even be able to track down the previous owners... it's a very tight knit community.
Actually not much, and to be truthful, I’m kinda surprised at the reliability. We had two and other than crap armrest, nothing else has failed. Our first one went 85k with no issues, and the current one has 40k and no problems with it, and this make 228hp. It is driven daily in Miami traffic and heat, while returning 28 mpg. It has been running with the mods since 4K, with no clutch or drivetrain problems. I hope, I haven’t jinxed myself.

Actually; Fiat USA made a federalized version of the 500 and it's engine, both with minor differences. The Abarth was already introduced in Europe before it was available in the US. They do though, use those US-spec and built engines (and its variations) on the various US Fiats, Jeeps and Chrysler.

I really wanted one when I was 16 but my parents thought being a such a small car was not safe, instead we bought a jeep, because not having a roof is so much safer

I actually bought one of these in 2013. It was a crazy little fun car to tool around in. I took the back seats out and could actually fit a size XL 29er mountain bike in the damn thing. When I took it in for servicing after the first year, the dealership had closed and I was told that I had to drive to Huntsville to get it serviced if anything warranty-related went wrong with it. The next day I traded it in. I knew better than to buy a Chrysler product, but oh well.
So happy to watch this. I own a 94' Uno. Love it, rev it to hell and back and drive it like an Italian. they did small cars so well. Character, Fun and economy.

They seem to be reliable if you keep them stock and maintain them properly. I have 135k miles on mine. Most people who report problems in the online clubs and forums either modified the car or neglected their maintenance

You mean 695 Competizione?
John Ross: "Am I a joke to you?"
Honestly thought that was the only reason he bought one... clearly it wasn't though given he has already owned an abarth twice
John Ross the football player?
I just assumed it was JR's and Hoovie bought it, I was going to be surprised. Then it wasn't, so I didn't have to be surprised lol.
@@ralphlongo1975 I thought the same, but I realized JR's one is black and this one is pearl white.
@@ralphlongo1975 I mean you can tell by the thumbnail it's not JR's just by the color
That's a good investment. Check out the head gasket and anything in the cooling system
I saw 2 different jeep renegades broke down on the same street directly across from each other. One had a tow truck already there and the other was blocking traffic and waving people around them.
I really wanted one when I was 16 but my parents thought being a such a small car was not safe, instead we bought a jeep, because not having a roof is so much safer
buy a samsung mobile phone, charge it in said jeep....bring marshmallows...problem slovered
Hoovie, it's a cute little car, but the Wizard says to buy a Toyota.
Scotty Kilmer says "buy a 94 Celica"
3:21 those rims would drive me nuts
@7:31 It is more a landaulet than a convertible because it has a roof line and landaulet was an expensive option in the Maybach lineup of Daimler Benz.
A long term test car of that type had an engine and gearbox broken and then it was totaled. You have a really good hand for cars!
Back to classic Hoovie:
Cheap cheap car
Cheap cheap audio quality
Dear god. It's pronounced "Abarth", not "Abarth".
Edit: He knows how to pronounce it correctly, but he chooses not to... but he does... then he doesn't... then he does again.
I don't get it. Is it pronounced "Abarth" or "Abarth"?
@@Fanaz10 neither, it's "Abarth".
The correct way to pronounce the name is A Bart
It's retaliation against our english, admit it America
@@peterthedoor they're jealous of our superior grammar and spelling
"Fix it again, tony... Heh heh"
Hank: "That spells Fiat, Dale" 🤦
So, how do you spell Chrys (Chrysler)?
I’ve got a 2019 595 Competizione. Honestly the most fun car I’ve ever driven, right along side a Caterham and a Lotus Elise. It gives so many cars a surprise too!
Audio during the whole card ride was so terrible
Zack Salvatore yeah there was pretty bad buffeting from having that window cracked. Come on Tyler, you've been doing this for 3 years now.
might need to flush that coolant system ... I spy a mountain of corrosion mixed with coolant!
Most would call that an engine, but yes
Tyler: you can pick a good one up for 7-8 grand but I chose to buy a scruffy one for $4000 and spend 3k working on it....
If you are checking Fiats out I'd recommend having a go with the new Panda, NOT the 2wd version though its crappy but the 4wd actually rocks believe it or not, I was well surprised when I hadda drive one for work, put a big smile on my face it did.....good vid as ever BTW
Just like the episode of South Park "Simpsons did it" I keep thinking in my head over over is "WatchJrGo did it" LOL
@purple mist its one of Hoovies friends
Not very original, since JR has at least a powered Up one, and it was cheaper...Not Hoovies Tuned cabine one...
My dads worked on them apparently they fall apart really easy
They seem to be reliable if you keep them stock and maintain them properly. I have 135k miles on mine. Most people who report problems in the online clubs and forums either modified the car or neglected their maintenance
They're like any other machine on this planet, if you look after and maintain it they will be fine if you neglect and abuse it they will break
The plastics are typically chrysler with the fiat flare of breaking. Not a bad car at all. Really reliable and pretty simple to work on (though its a pita to get into stuff in the engine bay)
You and JR can ride around together. It'll be cute
lol that would be awesome video
Check the temp sensor in the right side mirror ,they go bad a the time ,unplug the mirror and presto the a/c works
Why dude I have been hoping no youtubers pointed these out they are so much fun. I need to get mine now.
