I’m just about halfway through the story, I have to just take a moment to point out the fact that pineapple grenades do not have that design for a better grip, it’s for better fragmentation, each of those little nodules are intended to be an easy to break off fragment that is intended to hit things.
Kind of like a Hershey bar, except instead of little bite-size treats you get a jagged piece of shrapnel.
Having just started this video it seems strange to me that a story about religion has something to do with grenades 😂 excited to see where this one goes

Sounds like you need to start ripping up some AI images. If you manage to get a good thumbnail with a playpus monster guarantee someone will write and narrate it. Almost everything is created backwards these days.

The "pineapple" shape of a grenade is NOT for extra grip!!! Not even close!!! LMMFAO!!! It's score lines for fragmentation!!! To break on the lines when detonated, sending each section outwards giving a better possibility of wounding/killing the enemy!!! Hence the name, "Fragmentation Grenade"!!!

Thanks for doing another one of my stories, MrCreeps. I liked this one, especially the second half. If I wrote it now, I probably would edit the first half to make it move faster towards the climax
Anyways, I liked to set up the theme of Samuel likely attaining enlightenment as he fought to his death, as he was the only one smiling and without fear at the end. He was likely the only one in the group who understood the religion, far more than the leader who was a selfish man who lead others to their deaths. His criticisms of not returning his son's body becomes moot when he does not even recover the bodies of his fallen comrades, but pushes everyone on until they find his son, and death

@@taygettem580 I can’t tell if his dad made it back or not. There was a time earlier with the children, too, where I thought for a second he died and I straight up just started crying 😭

Many endings seem like the author just threw the towel.
Story goes nice, all these mirrors, characters, scenes. And then we get to the 5 last minutes where they all die. The end.
Its like a first impression, but a last impression. And that last impression was very dull.

Earl dosent make sense the whole reason he went on the journey was to get his son because they don’t leave their own kind behind but then when they die fighting the monsters he dosen’t care
He was clearly mentally unstable and breaking down as the story progresses, leading people to their deaths for an insane reason. That's mostly the theme of Earl
I wrote this over a couple months. When leaders break down, like Hitler in WW2, their choices are not always purely logical, but people will follow them to their deaths

Yeah remember that series. I drop it because how dumb the character acted sometimes. Definitely a fun series though. Was the ending any good?
@@stephonmanny7555 I can't recall Pendragon acting dumb, Saint Dane(main villain) incredibly competent and outplayed the main cast a lot. I thought the ending was good, but the last two books were sort of a mess.
@@king81992 I remember one time the main heroine from our world was being stalk by a black car. If I remember correctly it had tried to run her over a few times. But she still decided to walk to along a highway to go a date and got ran over by the black car. When Bobby’s two friends where trying to warn him about the Saint Dane’s plan they forgot about Bobby’s uncle friend who helped them before. Which led to them traveling between worlds. Causing one character dying and 2 getting stuck in the jungle world. Also I feel his uncle could have more train. I know he probably couldn’t tell him about the other worlds. But martial arts, firearms, and survival training would have helped him a lot. Lastly Bobby digging back up the explosive crystals that Saint Dane was trying to get in first book. I think that what made me drop it. I’m fine with characters making bad choices or mistakes. But it felt like they getting dumber so the plot could work. Kinda like horror movie characters splitting up for no good reason.

The mirrors described are commonly known as scrying mirrors. They are meant to be, basically the magical equivilent of a TV/computer screen. They are supposed to act as a sort of blank slate upon which the trained viewer can see things. Have to wonder if the mirror really matters, assuming the practice worked.

Ye, absolutely nothing..... It talks about OTHER WORLDS with FLOATING CITIES AND NO WAR. etc. But it was generally not even about our earth,(nor heaven/hell) it was a parallel universe earths.
TIME, HAD EFFECTIVELY NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY OF THIS.... even when they went forward or backwards 'in time', it was apparently a different earth. So again, a parallel universe.....
This was frustrating as all he!! By the time the story actually started, it abruptly ended, answering none of the questions, it spent the first 45 minutes posing you with, after building, explaining and tying in characters and objects to the specifics of the story.
Then finish the entire story in like 2 paragraphs.
That was a very underwhelming ending, especially compared to the amount of -effort- *Time* that was put into the *"world building"* and *"character building"*

He does make reference to the Heaven worlds, which are similar in the Buddhist scriptures, but they aren't part of the story

Some of this is taken from Stephen King’s Dark Tower series. Especially the high pitched ringing when traveling between worlds.. the author of this story needs some original ideas
They hear chimes in the Dark Tower when traveling Todash.
I’m surprised it took 40 minutes and approx 30 seconds in this story for the author to arrive at the very, very predictable, and almost obligatory invocation of Godwin’s Law and the Nazis trope, and having to make mention of National Socialists, concentration camps, and Auschwitz in particular, and never choosing to visit the gulags though Communists are mentioned. The author didn’t fail to deliver on this entirely predictable mythological tenant of post WW2 liberalism… Whenever I see words ‘time travel’, ‘alternate universe’ and other words that convey such themes, I always what for the story to arrive at the political and Godwin’s Law.

Seeing as the Communists killed hundreds of millions of people, the concept of death camps is still interesting and adds to stories.
