You have motivated me for sure. I need dressers so bad for my son and I and these prices are ridiculous in the furniture stores when older pieces are by far 💯% better.
Just need a little TLC and you can make them exactly what you want them too be. I found some really nice stuff on Craigslist in the FREE section. Some people don't even know about that. Hidden gems everywhere. Thank you again 🥰 for the ✨️INSPIRATION✨️ If mine come out half as good as yours I'll be Happy.

I love this piece Ebony. I think it is one of my most favorites that you have done and the staging is perfect. You are really turning out professional work. Be sure that when you paint inside you open a window for ventilation. Another painter did a video showing that those fumes float in the hour for a good while before they disappear.

In Australia we are all taught to swim. Usually there is a few weeks a year where the children are taken to the local swimming pool centres and taught basic swimming lessons so they can at least save their own lives.

Great choice on the hardware too.
I put a cheap Walmart box fan with a cheap air filter tape to the back ( to protect the motor) and I have it blowing out one of the windows leaving the other one open. Then it keeps a constant flow of fresh air and helps remove the cloud of paint floating around in the room.

If you need more ventilation buy one of those window fans.
They have 2 fans and they sit in the window perfectly. You can have one fan on intake and on exhaust or both on exhaust. I use them when I do any reno or drywall work in my house.
The bug screen will get dirty from the overspray. Just wash it and paint it black when you finally get into the garage.

Beautiful work. So surprised by the finished product. Here comes the "but." It has nothing to do with your work. It has to do with the wavy molding at the bottom. When i first saw the piece i despaired of the gimcrackery at the bottom. I was hoping that it could have been removed or at least cut to trim it straight across. If you had done so it would have made it more linear and better suited to the finished product. Still, a beautiful new piece.

I see that the spray gun called for 3.5 SCFM… what size of compressor did you use with that spray gun?

Instead of all that sanding, could you use some of the liquid paint/varnish remover. Wipe on, wipe off?
Yes, that is a much quicker alternative. Oddly enough sanding doesn’t bother me, it’s kind of therapeutic :)

One question: I had a dresser that I painted with spray paint. Wondering if I can spray a different color on top of it without sanding??
I always recommend some level of sanding, even if you don’t sand it off completely, maybe just a scuff sand so the new paint will adhere better. You can even do it by hand with a 120 grit sandpaper
They have spray tents. Then you wouldn't have to go through all the taping u plastic. Turned out beautiful.

Hi what drill are you using to clean ? What pieces do I need to purchase or does it come with the drill?
I’m using a drill master drill, but the cleaning brushes are universal to all drills. Unfortunately they do not come with the drill. On Amazon search “drill cleaning brush attachment set”. :)

Hi there, it’s just a universal cleaning attachment for drills. If you do a search like that on amazon it’ll come right up. You can use them for cleaning just about anything, I hear it works well to clean showers especially :)
