    Hey Mate, from Australia, even though you guys drive on the wrong side of the road ( lol) I've learnt a lot from 'youtube' how to use scanners etc. Your basic & simplfied explantions including when you explain how to check and diagonise electrical wiring issues and the various sensors is just as good this goes for 'ALL' youtube automotive videos and everyone involved in passing on your knowledge & expertise etc, and not only helping me to saving a lot of money but also the satisfaction of having accomplished finding the fault & fixing the problem, as a DIY backyard self thaught mechanic, I never stop learning from you guys!
    well done and
    Thank You

    • @kchilz32
      @kchilz32 Год назад +1

      Start error is usually when the chip inside the key fob is a bit loose you have to open it up and get it to seat good

    • @kchilz32
      @kchilz32 Год назад +1

      About 95 percent of the time it’s the key fob chip. Don’t lose that. Some people will permanently glue that chip inside the steering wheel very close to the key ring sensor

    Hey, thank for you videos!
    I have 2001 E55 (W210) on my AUTEL it gave me the C1140 (sas) and I checked the Live Data (steering angle was at -0.0). Then I have replaced the sas with new one, the lights on the dash are there and Live Data still shows -0.0 (even when turning the wheel)
    I have only this error for ESP module.
    Q1: do you know where to look i to?
    Q2: where I can find the witing diagram for my car?
    Please help me 🙏

    Very informative and easy to follow.
    I have w140 coupe 1998 and has a intermittent fault ABS EBS ESP it seems to be when the cabin becomes hot after being in the sun.
    Sometimes no fault for months and other times can be almost constant.
    But will reset by lock to lock wheel turn.
    Any thoughts?

    You should get an oscilloscope to see the digital signal coming from the sensor. You might not know if it's correct, but you could compare it to the new one to show the difference.

      Thats one way if you don't have a scanner with live data.

    Very informative video! I hope you still read the comments and hope you can guide me in the right direction which will be much appreciated. I have two similar lexus and I get C1253 on one of them which just says Steering angle sensor. when I expand that error to read all the data I see that both vehicles give the same data when I turn the wheel. The only difference is the one with the error c1253 says NG(2): Steering sensor abnormal.I doubt the problem is the sensor because I replaced it with another used one and same error. Is there anyway to test the sensor and what else should I test?

    Good video. I'm trying to diagnose a Toyota Highlander. My OBD2 scanner reads 1150 degrees on the steering angle sensor and it does not change when turning the wheel. So I got another SAS from the junkyard and installed it and still gets the same 1150 degrees. Could this be a broken wire or something else?

    Hi, I have a question if you can kindly answer. For Toyotas the angle sensor is attached to the clock spring. Can we just detach it from the clock spring(it;'s detachable) and just turn sensor wheel by hand for testing? Now the other question is does it matter how many times we trun its wheel before putting it back right into its location? thanks!

    I have a 2004 ML350. I had to Replace ECM, AAM, BCM and Steering column, Key Module and key with used parts. It started but the ESp/ BAS, SRS are still on after I turned S Wheel both ways and I straighten S Wheel as best I can. QUESTION: Do I have to remove whole steering column to do straightening of Steering wheel if I am not sure whether I put It back on in the same position at the knuckle? (The lower part of steering column may not be where it was, Is that a problem?)

    Hi there, you might be able to help me here. I have a MERCEDES-BENZ ML-Class (W164) ML 320 CDI 3.0 4-matic 224 hp Diesel - 2008. Sometimes (not always) I get a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark on panel, then the self-driving, stability controls / ESP, and the rear camera stop working. I tried to change the sensor piece, but could not find anywhere in my country. It does work most of the time, but sometimes not. So Im wondering if you could shed some light here please :) Appreciated in advance 🙏

    I had to replace my clockspring. LIght is still on so performed the test above. When I have the wheels pointing straight forward and the steering wheel straight ahead I"m reading 360 degrees. I"m assuming somehow I installed it incorrectly..though it seems pretty straitforward

    I think i have a problem with my audi a4 b8 2009 sedan steering wheel sensor, please give me some advice. If iam driving and steer to the right my car goes completely in alarm. esp, parking brake light, Etc. Everything thats possible. And my steering wheel goes to the left (25 degrees) but my wheels stay straight i can drive but its really annoying offcoure. Brought it to the audi dealer allready but they couldnt find the problem I personally think that this steering wheel sensor is bad. At this time my alarms are always on, just by starting the car. Could it be that my sensor is now completely broken by wear? The car has just over 200.000 kilometers now and this problem is occuring like 3 months now. You have some advice? Iam clueless:(

    Hi, when I check my steering wheel angle sensor through a scan tool, it always shows 0, regardless of whether I'm turning the wheel or not. What can that mean? Does my sensor need calibration, or is it faulty?
