An annual PAP test, as well as an annual Mammogram, can save your life. Better to know if you have cancer before you are symptomatic than to wait for symptoms to show their face, which means the cancer has spread further. ~From a retired IM Triage, RN, BSN
Very glad to se you help break down the fear that many have about the pap-smear. I have done it twice now and for me it hurts a lot sadly, but i still go do it, cause id much rather have it hurting for a day then risk having cancer develop without me knowing about it!
This was actually very reassuring! Haven't gotten it done yet and my mum has always declined to get it done. Next year when I'm 25 hopefully! Thank youu
I never understand voluntary going for cancer lvl tests while you face no issue. In any case, due to being in the environment you went for a check up first time but plz gather knowledge about necessity of tests before making a "mentaly tense" habbit of periodic visits.
