Hey Dr Youn once more thanks for your being so clea. Unfortunally, here in Argentina the vast mjority of plastic suegeors or cosmetic doctors, use Belotero all the time. They say it is as good as Restylen which I don t believe. You are the one who always give us details and sure information. May God bless you and your beloved ones!!

Hello Dr Youn. Happy New year to you and Family. Thanks for this info. I wish some of the persons who got hurt by these surgeries did get this info. They would probably think twice about doing it. However some knows the danger and still take the risk. You are so honest, thanks again for sharing.

Many would have you believe filler lasts 6-18 months if you’re lucky. However, facial MRI’s are showing filler is longer lasting than previously thought, upwards of 8 years and not in areas you want it to. For example lip filler migrating up towards nose or dermal fillers to tear troughs that were done 6 or so years prior and then having a bulge or puffiness under your eyes. Dr. Youn what are your thoughts on filler migration and have you encountered this in your practice? Just watched a video on this topic and makes me very hesitant to continue with fillers for this reason.

If this is true, I wonder why the FDA accepts the company's data that it lasts so and so long?

Hi, sorry I'm late. I'm having under eye fillers (Juvederm) for almost 2 years now and it gave me puffiness, like really tear bags. Hadn't had them before (I'm 24) and it was my first time doing fillers. So yeah.. I do not recommend. Plus I'm really scared of hyaluronidase so.. yeah

Going blind from fillers is scary. I think filler injections to the face should be done with ultrasound guidance for safety and peace of mind.. In my opinion the Ultrasonography-guided Cannula Method for Hyaluronic Acid Filler would put a lot of worries to rest. And as a patient I would definitely opt for a doctor who has this equipment and uses this method. The technology exists so why aren’t all doctors using it? An ultrasound machine can’t be that expensive. I would pay extra for fillers to be safe and not risk my eyesight. Im sure others would agree.

Dr. Youn, respectively ask your opinion. I recently purchased some H.A. filler on a pre sale, the RN I use for botox will be doing it, I ask if she could or would use a cannula, she stated she was not trained on cannula procedure & prefers to use a needle, and basically doesn't know how. What should I do, my cheek area was the area I was interested in, and they state no refunds, in was a few hundred dollars, what do you recommend? Sincerely p.s. no doctor available at the facility!!!!!

I think by "holistic" he means he helps people enhance their beauty not just through surgery, but also other things like diet, skincare, exercise, etc. Basically looking at the full picture of their lifestyle to figure out the most suitable plan for them

Pardon me for saying this, but in your video about preventing injectables from migrating, you said it was preferable to use a needle over a cannula. I am wondering which is the bigger risk: migration or injection into a blood vessel (when injecting the cheek or nasolabial fold)?

My mom got botulism from Botox between the eyebrows. It was her first time, and she went to a professional. She was sick for three years. She couldn’t eat and had a lot of panic attacks. On her back it look like snakes moving from the Botox moving in her veins. I would not recommend Botox.

I know this post is a bit old, but I'm trying to decide if I should consult with the plastic surgeon at the office I go to for dysport, or to one of his nurses or PA's? How do I know who to trust more? Very nervous! Its my face!! A nurse does my Dysport and does a really good job, looks natural not frozen. Nurse/PA costs less, but don't want to choose based on that, even though my finances aren't that great. I just Want to know what they recommend for me, so I know what I'm saving for. Highly rated Surgeon here in Seattle.
