StartAllBack is a godsend. It allows me to do things the way I had been doing them, not how Microsoft thinks is best. Thanks for making this video. You did a good job of showing how each setting looks. My favorite setting is for the Taskbar. Win11 would only show one icon for multiple program openings. This was driving me nuts, as I frequently open multiples, of the same program, and jump back and forth.
You're welcome. I Agree. And without this program or something similar, i probably would have downgraded to Windows 10. The "little" UI changes are just too much and infuriating to me.
Same here. I could live with the crappy Windows 11 start menu if I absolutely had to but the taskbar is absolutely terrible! Even in previous versions of Windows one of the first things I do after a new install is go to the taskbar settings and set "Combine taskbar buttons" to never. I often have multiple folders and programs open and it is much easier to use when everything isn't combined. It is ridiculous that we have to use a separate piece of software to do this in Windows 11. If they want to have a new UI that is fine but give us the option to choose between old and new.
Picked up Start11 before this was around and I do prefer this. It simpler and returns it to basically just what Win10 was. An absolute must if you ask me because the Windows 11 taskbar functionality is a straight dumpster fire.
Thanks, really informative. Thought that my laptop's gonna be stuck with that downgraded startup menu bs, I even held back upgrading my desktop into W11 mostly because of those simplified Start Menu/Taskbar and Click-Drag hassle the W11 has. Edit : There is another thing I want to ask since SAB's website didn't mention anything about the license's duration, is it lifetime? Or monthly/yearly?
I wish some features was added onto windows 11 instead of replacing the whole thing but it so much better than the base shit. Finally I can see my time on secondary monitor
Good review of the properties screens but the best part of StartAllBack is that you can move the taskbar to any side (top, left, right or bottom) and change the height/width of the taskbar. Do all this as you used to in Win 10, i.e. right click the taskbar, click unlock, then drag to the side you want. Then drag it wider or narrower. You can also specifiy the toolbars and set them up the same way as Win10. All these things are missing in Win11 despite many feedback requests, and which, for me, was a complete show stopper. (I've had taskbar on the left, with autohide and wide enough for 6 small icons in taskbars, since win97, I think. I was appalled that MS summarily removed the feature in win11!
Yeah, it's been this way since Windows 8 I think. I'm constantly installing things to make Windows work like it use to. For an OS all about keeping legacy code, it's quite ironic how much they removed/changed in Windows 11.
awesome video, quick question, if you use segments for the taskbar, can you click things that are in the middle of the start button and your folders? or you need to scroll a bit more like if it was a single taskbar?
They're pretty much the same feature wise. StartAllBack seems lighter and more responsive on my laptop. There aren't any major differences other than the way they look. You do get more layout options in Start11 I think in the most recent update. I did do a video on Start11 BTW ruclips.net/video/7EfXb1FEpos/видео.html
Thanks for the video. I was hoping to see that the task tray icons could have multiple rows. When you use to drag the height of the taskbar to be 'taller' the task tray icons used to have multiple rows.
I noticed theres StartAllBack and StartisBack, is there a difference between them? Is it simply the first one is for 11, and the 2nd is for 10? Or can StartAllBack be used on win 10 too?

Hello. I just wanted to check what is the correct way to uninstall this application. I'm telling you this because I had a problem uninstalling it and the taskbar was on the left and unusable. Thanks greetings!
It uninstalls just like any program. And then you restart your PC to make sure uninstallation completes. If you keep having issues, I'd suggest switching to OpenShell or Start11.
@@DreQueary I did what you mention, uninstall and restart, but the problem continues. OpenShell doesn't fix the problem and I haven't tested Start11, and I have no guarantee that the problem will be fixed.
Does it conflict with WindowBlinds 11? My taskbar while using a WindowBlinds theme looks very broken looking and I can't seem to fix it and I want StartAllBack to override any WindowBlinds taskbars.
@@DreQueary I found a fix for it anyway so it's all good now. I just have to have the StartAllBack menu open while turning on the theme from WindowBlinds for some reason to fix it lol (/≧▽≦)/

One odd thing that I haven't found a fix for is that, when using File Explorer, there used to be a View-Preview Pane option to preview pictures on the right side of the screen. For some reason, it's now gone. It was there before I installed StartAllBack. Maybe someone knows a fix for this.
I found my own answer. I had chose the Explorer - Win 7 option, but evidently you lose the Preview Pane. I changed it to Win10 UI and the Preview Pane is back.
One feature I'm missing is the ability to drag objects to an open program icon on the taskbar and that program comes to the foreground. Does this fix that/
Every time you open a new window it starts out as blinding white before the graphics are drawn. It's a Windows Dark Mode problem. Will StartAllBack fix this issue?
I have a weird issue. When I install startallback the buttons for the windows 11 and win10 style start menu overlap so it opens both start meues randomly. Do you have any idea how I can disable this?
I love it! My only concern is that the font in the MENU items (File, Home, Share, View) in Windows Explorer became too small. Anyone know how to fix that? Increase font size in the menus?
