Scalypso Converter 1.1 [EN]

The well-preserved building, as a former Stiftsschaffnerei, represents a building of great historical importance. Its stately appearance essentially shapes the appearance of the Lahrer Urteilsplatz.
History:
Built in the second half of the 16th century as a monastery and saint's conductor's seminar. 1821 Unification with the Schaffnerei of the cobbler and tanner brotherhood. Later evangelical parsonage, municipal building authority and private house, since 1973 in municipal ownership.
1977 exterior renovation.
The building is a cultural monument of special importance according to § 12 of the Baden-Württemberg Monument Protection Act and enjoys additional protection through its entry in the register of monuments on 27.01.75; there is a public interest in its preservation for artistic, scientific and local history reasons.
