The only thing I remember of 9-11 is that they cut off an episode of DBZ to show the news or something.
The mexican cartel was pretty piss off about it
Ironically, the only thing I remember was that WB Kids was not broadcasting Yugioh that day and I was annoyed.
I was waiting for the Simpsons
I was in 5th grade math class when they turned on the news I remember it really well cause one girl was being super loud and finally shut up after the footage was being broadcast
My only memory of it is the *years* I spent confused as to whether it was the 9th of November (09/11/2001) or the 11th of September (11/09/2001), because any time I asked an American they'd get offended that I didn't know.
In school, my science teacher (older lady) was telling us about the challenger, and she said she was teaching a class that had the niece/nephew of one of the astronauts... they were young kids, so apparently after the tragic incident, one of the kids just blurted out, "your uncle just got barbecued" in a heavy southern accent. And that's just always in my head now.
💀💀💀💀💀
That's wild man
The second plane was in a different chain that's why it was delayed
"sir another dracossack has hit the board"
@@leonardocarvalho7306"Shoot, it doesn't have a level. Apoqliphort Towers is affected by it."
@@leonardocarvalho7306 "Sir, a second Ruler has hit the field"
On a new chain, the second plane? (oh no)
"That shit was crazy"
~Joseph, on 9/11
I was literally making model airplanes for my aviation class when 9/11 happened and I remember my teacher walking out and being like class dismissed having no idea what was going on and watching all the adults pile us out of the class and my mom being like don't worry everything's going to be okay. Well everyone was watching the news footage and I played final fantasy 9 lol
Dude, my school didn't let us go home. We literally had to sit through the entire day because the faculty just decided that a large-scale terrorist attack shouldn't get in the way of geometry or whatever.
@@nicholasfarrell5981to be fair it’d be pretty unlikely and fucked up if Al Qaeda decided to crash a jetliner into a random middle school in Milwaukee or whatever
2001 was a crazy time where Dracossack didn't have a OPT and could tribute both tokens to pop 2 buildings.
Living in NYC that day was nutso.
I swear this man is gonna get banned one day when his sarcasm goes over someones head lmao
I remember waking up to my mom shouting the country is under attack, waking my sister and I up an hour earlier than usual. Everything was so crazy that day.
Yep. Was 6 at the time and everything changed when that second tower was hit. Mind you they showed this all over the world too, so collectively the entire planet was watching America get Zeus'd.
"America get Zeus'd" is crazyyyyy
What a tasteless comparison. It was more akin to getting Lava Golem'd.
@@HanbeiSir, a second monster has just been tributed.
@Hanbei I already thought this was clever because it eats 2 monsters but the fact that it's also an out to "towers" makes this genius
Don't forget Lava Golem also burns 😭
I was in 4th grade, and was mainly upset because they cancelled our back-to-school picnic. I didn't really understand the tragedy, New York was so far away from where we lived.
I was in 3rd grade when 9/11 happened and we watched it on tv in the classroom and after the 2nd tower they sent us all home early
The only thing I know is that Celso Portiolli had nothing to do with the events of 9/11
2 or 3 hours, try the whole damn day, it's all we did that day.
Silly MBT, don't you realize most of your audience was born post-9/11?
hey, some of us were like, 6 months old
I was only a year away from achieving object permanence. Now what where we talking about again? I saw some keys jingling and lost track.
Judging by the replies to Twitter threads, most of them are barely post-5ds
I’d also like to add the fact that said event was sacrilegious for MANY years afterwards and even caused two wars, unlike the Challenger disaster. Like, I had to grow up literally never being allowed to forget that event but also come of age with recruits attempting me to join the military with that same sort of iconography (with some COD thrown in for good measure I guess). I just can’t help but imagine the nation just sort of “got over” the Challenger disaster within a couple of years, if that.
Though arguably it did likely end the age of space exploration for the sake of exploration so there is that.
"OMG A SECOND PLANE"
5th grade, we didn't have a live tv on, but it was early in the school year, like maybe the second or third day of the year, and our history teacher was giving some speech about how 'history happens every day...' evidently unaware of what was going on. she apologized the next day
Wait, Kash can make Dracossack...... That only means........ 😨😨😨😨😱😱😱😱💀💀💀💀
We just moved into a new city and was supposed to go to school and then it happened and they told us not to come for 3 days until we were cleared to return and I was in like 3rd grade
Based and true
I heard the "explosions" came from the liqified plane (Alluminium or something) colliding with Water from the fire prevention system, as the cerosine fire should not have been hot enough to melt the steel beams.
Americans 💀
I still don't know why American elementary schools teach this. Aren't you supposed to learn kinda recent events in History classes last, after World War 2?
My teacher had a tv in her class room and literally showed us 9/11. I had just started first grade.
Obviously I didn't understand the implications of that event until I was a bit older, I lived in housing co-op with many diverse families, including a mostly muslim population. The racially motivated crime I saw committed against my friends is why I'll never be surprised by the depths of fear and hatred inherent to conservative ideology.
Follow the money.
