And I really appreciate the fact that this parody really focuses around Sam, who is the real hero of the books. Frodo may have been the one to carry the ring but without Sam, he would have died two days into the journey. Sam was always there for Frodo and he was supportive and had undying loyalty. Sam literally carried him up a mountain to help Frodo. This parody is so amazing, gods, it is too wonderful for words. Thank you Hillywood for bringing this series to life.
Olivia Deligan to be fair if Sam carried that ring he would of been dead the same day he took it, it’s true Sam played a huge part and deserves a lot of credit, but Frodo carried a ring that slowly was killing him while also carrying the wound of the witch kings blade and in the end his wounds never healed so his life was never normal again. Sam is the reason frodo survived that trip but Frodo paid the price
Sam is not underrated at all. Tolkien identifies him as the hero of the story. But Frodo is the literal manifestation of PTSD and that is why his story is difficult to understand for most people. If you haven't experienced anything traumatic, you wouldn't get it and good on you if anything like that never happened to you. And that is why his story matters. He carried the burden inside and survived. That's a damn good hero if there ever was one.

The others were able to fight external foes and while they had internal conflicts (Aragorn's being the most ridiculous in the movies since he NEVER shied away from his mission or goal in the books) Elijah had to portray internal conflict; IMO Pete didn't do a real good job of showing it and it made Frodo seem like a wimp, which he certainly was not.

It's amazing how you two can keep the essence of the characters and scenes while doing these parodies. I mean, I'm sick to death of Let it Go, but you are able to make me see the melody in a whole new (and imo superior) way.

This is not my first time watching this, but that bit when sam was fighting the spider totally led me to tears. it was so well acted, that when i watched it i did not see hilly, i saw sam, and i saw his courage and bravery in her face and in the music. it was amazing. so well done. in every single video you make, you completely embody the character. its the same with the supernatural vid. i totally saw dean and forgot it was hilly playing him. amazing. and hannah was perfect too. couldn't have asked for a better parody and homage to the lotr.

When I first saw the parody I absolutely bawled my eyes out. Every single detail is perfect. The facial expressions, the makeup, the crust lips, the costumes, the entire set. The way Hilly carried around Sam's 30 lb backpack was incredible. It is a true masterpiece. You girls are so inspiring to me. This parody really touched my heart because The Lord of the Rings was the first movie I ever saw in theaters and I've loved it ever since. Thank you so much Hilly and Hannah. This is so much more than a parody. Its really more of a tribute. I never cared for that blasted song until I heard this and suddenly I was moved. I just saw the sneak preview of the final chapter at the world famous Chinese theater in Hollywood and I enjoyed this nearly as much. I will share this later on Facebook with some of the folks who were there. You have to be a full on fan to fully get all the nuance here. Just wonderful!

Okay, this is a hilariously effective parody, but it’s also one of the most impressive fan works I’ve ever seen. The way it captures moments is unparalleled.
Obviously we know what a burden the ring is for Frodo, but until now I never really understood how much Sam had to endure as well and just how big a burden it was for him to never give up on Frodo no matter what. It's weird that it took a parody to make me realize that. The emotion shown from Sam's point of view here in the video is phenomenal.
A year and a half later, still watching this and still crying every time I watch it! This is by far, hands down, my absolute favorite parody! I could just watch this on repeat and be content. :)
I don't know about anyone else, but when I watch these productions, I think we're looking at the next generation of Hollywood. If I was a "suit" at a major studio, I'd be on the phone right away. I'm pretty sure this is THE best Let It Go parody on the Internet. And I'm not just saying that because I'm a complete Tolkien nerd and you perfectly mixed the films' music with the actual song and perfectly captured the epic feel of both books and films and the character of Samwise Gamgee.

This is not my first time watching this, but that bit when sam was fighting the spider totally led me to tears. it was so well acted, that when i watched it i did not see hilly, i saw sam, and i saw his courage and bravery in her face and in the music. it was amazing. so well done. in every single video you make, you completely embody the character. its the same with the supernatural vid. i totally saw dean and forgot it was hilly playing him. amazing. and hannah was perfect too. couldn't have asked for a better parody and homage to the lotr.
I honestly think that the lotr series is more about sam then Frodo.. Frodo is like the damsel in distress and sam is always there to protect him... sam is the real hero of the movie haha

Sam is the hero and saves him all the time, however, Frodo is the "main character" if there is one. the story is about his adventure, his story. Sam is my favorite character, however, Frodo still is the "main character"if there is one.

When I first saw the parody I absolutely bawled my eyes out. Every single detail is perfect. The facial expressions, the makeup, the crust lips, the costumes, the entire set. The way Hilly carried around Sam's 30 lb backpack was incredible. It is a true masterpiece. You girls are so inspiring to me. This parody really touched my heart because The Lord of the Rings was the first movie I ever saw in theaters and I've loved it ever since. Thank you so much Hilly and Hannah. This is so much more than a parody. Its really more of a tribute. I never cared for that blasted song until I heard this and suddenly I was moved. I just saw the sneak preview of the final chapter at the world famous Chinese theater in Hollywood and I enjoyed this nearly as much. I will share this later on Facebook with some of the folks who were there. You have to be a full on fan to fully get all the nuance here. Just wonderful!

Obviously we know what a burden the ring is for Frodo, but until now I never really understood how much Sam had to endure as well and just how big a burden it was for him to never give up on Frodo no matter what. It's weird that it took a parody to make me realize that. The emotion shown from Sam's point of view here in the video is phenomenal.
