This is a beautiful thought, and a beautiful song. I am a work in progress, and am working on becoming closer to God and becoming a better person. I think God leads me to people and things who are to help me on my journey. I believe Jason Gray is a messenger for God. His music opens my heart and helps me see things in a new light. God bless you, Jason, and your family. And God bless others like you who are helping us know Him. You are definitely a bright light in a dark world.
wow, this reminds me of Dante Aligheri who, in a linguistic treatise, said that since Adam was created by God himself, the first thing that came out of his mouth must have been the very name of God. Beautiful thought indeed.
I love this concept and this song so much. I came across this teaching also, and the next day I heard Jason speaking of it and performing this song. So cool how God illuminates His presence to us! God is so good! Thank you Jason!
I not only love this song - I really appreciate the story behind it. It really makes you think.... Isn't it just like an inventor to put their special mark on something?
This blows me away...especially the thought at the very end. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite Jason Gray song, tho' this might well be it. But JG is definitely my favorite artist. The depth in his lyrics...the power of his personal testimony...and he is FUN to see in concert, too!
Beautiful! Still breathing truth thru every soul.. Just found your song from looking at the name of God in one of Neville Goddard's teachings. I googled that name of God, God's name was spelled JOD HE VAU HE, which led me to the Rabbit Room and your songs which I also googled, to see the video. God is so beautiful how he just keeps unveiling Himself to hearts every day and everywhere.
Recall a teaching by Bill Bright about the act of breathing as a type of ongoing cleansing/sanctification which is related to this message we exhale whatever defiles and inhale fresh grace and forgiveness etc.
His explanation is not fully correct. It is not 4 syllables as in "Ya he wa he" but 2: yah (breathe in) and wah (breathe out) Yahwah (from first breathe at birth 'yah' to death 'wah') Even though its not fully correct the explanation and song are great!
According to Encyclopedia Britannica, GOD is the common Teutonic word for a personal object of religious worship, applied to all the superhuman beings of the heathen mythologies, and various kinds of idols. The word "god" on the conversion of the Teutonic races to Christianity was adopted as the name of the One Supreme Being, but this is error. The correct personal proper name of the One Supreme Being is YaHuWeh. Encyclopedia of Religion and Ethics and Webster's Twentieth Century Dictionary, Unabridged agree that the origin of the word God, is Teutonic "paganism".
Speechless... yet always breathing God's name until the day I go Home.

I figured this out a while back. That's why it says in the Ten Commandments, Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD in vain.
another reason for praise for breathing
what is the chord progression of this song?????
is it standard tuning?
His explanation is not fully correct. It is not 4 syllables as in "Ya he wa he" but 2: yah (breathe in) and wah (breathe out)
Yahwah (from first breathe at birth 'yah' to death 'wah')
Even though its not fully correct the explanation and song are great!
I saw this song preformed tonight in Iowa. It was great! But, it was far from the best one he sang.
