    Gavin, I don't know how you do it man, but you make this all look so easy. I'm so nervous about doing studio portraits and failing at it that it paralyzed me from doing it. Then I watch your videos and you show how simple it is and I get inspired to at least try.

    Thanks for the various ideas. Great for future shoots. Must try the over-head strip box again; it can be very dramatic, as you and Sophie have shown. Did like the small shadow on Sophie from the flooring - really gave depth to the image. The silver/metallic tutu was brilliant in terms of colour/texture. As always, well done to everyone !

    Beautiful, as always! Question: Sophie seemed to be close to the white wall background and I'm surprised that even at 1/250th shutter speed the wall was so gray and sometimes black. How far was she from the background so that the spill can be kept at a minimum???

      I do love a stripbox/grid combo Cory but why wait? What happens if you use a bare bulb or an octabox or a cookie instead of a stripbox? I don't know but now I'm curious to find out!

    This was one of the best of your many great videos, Gavin. I especially appreciate the schematics that came with each set-up. I screen-shot them, printed them, and put them in my idea binder. It would be great if they could be added to the video as a .pdf, and even better if there was an example of what resulted from the set-up. I hope you're working on a book. I'm sure there are thousands out here who, like me, would gladly pre-order. Thanks for making this all accessible and real.

    I love the result you have on Sophie about 3:45, moving the temperature a bit to the left. To my eyes it is just stunning. However, her face still seems quite warm, compared to the bluish background. Did you mask her face to keep off some of the cooler temperature, or is it an optical illusion that her skin still seems warm?
