The issue is that 2nd gear was negotiated because the lengths were given based on the fact that he didn’t have first gear. coming back to the show after years I realize Rich is an idiot

They build a faster car then lie about shit to make it look fair then open it up on the last race its that way EVERY SINGLE TIME. Ive always said they needed to hire independent drivers to run these cars a few times to verify what they can do to avoid this kinda thing.

You only see what the Pinks crew wants you to see - Ed barking orders was more dramatic then him asking nicely. 😂 I suppose you’re always prim and proper in the heat of battle? I bet most of you have never even been to a racetrack, let alone on National TV with a car on the line. Lots of pressure, time constraints, passion, and then there’s the editing…

@MFR440 I hear you man. After racing my own car on my own dollar and working with friends, I was a crewman for multiple race teams, and even helping buddies out on track days dial in their cars... A crew chief saying "I am pissed, I asked for washers under those. Get it done." was the absolute nicest way that could have been said in that moment. You are actively leaking oil on a drag strip. During a TV shoot. There are ways you talk to coworkers and peers at the track, and it is a different cadence and tone. I want to share a frosty cold beverage with Ed.
Regardless this is hyperbole and bullshit and you all know that.

Convenient that the transmissions the cars had weren’t listed. Wagon team couldn’t decide if they lost 1st or 2nd either and there’s no way unless they had crazy ratios that they launched equally as fast while in 2nd. Another case of Rich buying a lie.

For starters if these cars are going 11s on motor, low 11s, they're not even fast enough for it to matter whether it's pulling left or right. It's not like the front tires are going to be off the ground at all for any amount of time ever, etc...

The 5th race should have been motor 2 motor and give the team without track issue 1 and half cars... both times they ran motor to motor he only won by 1 and half cars
To much horsepower.......lol I've seen promods making 4000 plus go down that track no issues but a sbc that can't run but 11 seconds makes to much power.

I think if this show was heads up run what you brung no excuses drag racing the show would be so much better. My transmission lost first😭... Not his problem you should have built a better transmission. My car won't hook up on nitrous😭... Again not his problem you should have tuned your suspension and ramp your nitrous so that doesn't happen. All your excuses are your fault and thus you were not ready to run and that's why you loose your car. No excuses no crybabies.
Rich did mess up the second race. This was one of the worst episodes of this show.
Never made any sense, move on.
