Sardar Patel died one year before the first general elections in India. Before that period, an interim government was appointed and the interests of almost all the leaders were similar. I agree that democratically Patel should have been the PM of interim government but why portraying it like a issue that defined India?
Seems like Abhijit Chavda's history is derived from WhatsApp University. Even his facts are wrong. Gandhi didn't observe any such fast till death to help Nehru become the PM, the actual fact is that Patel took back his name on just the first request of Gandhi. And finally the most accepted reason of "why Gandhi preferred Nehru" was that he denied to play the role of second-fiddle and always wanted to be in a leading position. Because of his strong relations with Britishers and leaders around the world, Gandhi couldn't neglect his demand.

Based on History it is not only Jinnah but RSS (Hindu India) also had the influence on creating the separation of Pakistan. Considering the enormous Hindu-Muslim animosity I feel sometimes that Pakistan was the right solution. Jinnah was not right wing Leader (Till today Pakistan didn't have Right Wing Party running Govt. Good for Pakistan) he envisioned a democratic Pakistan unlike the RSS/BJP Right wing party's Pro-Hindu stance. Today's Pakistan is a failed state totally corrupt Leaders. Shady Govt.
Question is : Can India become a faster development country like China. No. At the present India is more focussed on Hindu-Muslim problems. Energy is wasted in the wrong direction. Blaming Mughals and Britishers and still living in the past is not going to move us forward. Sooner we understand our country is not homogenous. ONE Religion ONE Culture ONE Language will not work. Pakistan shared very strong relationship with other powerful countries. Pakistan is also Nuclear atomic power country. Pakistan is worldwide known by its Sports history. If Pakistan is unfortunately a failed state it is not the mistake of Jinnah sb. Gandhi imposed Nehru in an undemocratic manner, so the so called developed India is not the legacy of Gandhi or Nehru.
