My son recognizes people by the way they move and their body structure. I remember he once as usual put his case in the boot of my car as I sat in the driver’s seat. He said, “Please say something, I can’t always tell it is you.”
I’ve have over 60 jobs, the main reason is you can only walk into a place so many times not knowing who your coworkers are, and having one who’ve you’ve known for years ask you “who do you think I am?” Is not the most fun moment. Or running into someone you sold a $500k house the week after closing and walk away wondering who they were. I get by lol
This is an interesting topic for a video and your inspiration is definitely on my reading list now. :) Wow! I wouldn’t have thought there was a physical test for one of these sorts of facial blindness!
I've always said I have mild face blindness. I have to print out cards when I watch tv shows with the characters faces and names and study them for quite some time before I can start to put them together (Game of Thrones, reality TV shows, etc.). For example, the tv show Survivor. I don't really start recognizing anyone or remembering their names until 6 or 7 episodes in, nearly 2 months of studying. And I've gone back to previous seasons and don't recognize 95% of the players anymore. I've joined a large group of friends that go out monthly. I only knew the one person out of the 30 that originally invited me. After 6 months of studying group photos and names, I maybe have 8 people down. Also, I am a pastor's kid and was paraded around the congregations my entire childhood. Basically, everyone knew me, but I didn't know them. Most of life I'd have old ladies come up to me in church and pinch my cheeks or say my name and I would swear in a court of law that I'd never met them before. In fact, I was robbed in 1990 and I couldn't identify the person in a police line up, so charges were dropped. I really have to study someone for weeks or months before getting their name and face burned into my head... and even then, I've forgotten coworkers names that were close friends... embarrassing. They haven't talked to me since. It's been 3 years now. Not really sure what it is, but I say I have face blindness.
Thanks for this video. I had a coworker tell me that he had face blindness (the can't recognize who you are kind) and I've found it very difficult to fathom what this must be like.
I can recognise some people only if I meet them in the same place again. If they are somewhere else I may remember having met them before but I can’t remember where or who they are. It happens not with old friends or family. Some people just look very common to me as if they have faces like thousands of other people therefore I cannot sort them
there isn't a set cure for it, though focussing on other features of a person >such as hair, jewellery, clothes and especially mannerisms (habits they have or unique body language when they do certain things)< has helped me tremendously. i hope this can help you but i understand you may have heard it before. much love from another high school student :)
Hey I was just wondering and this isnt related to this video but your blue light glasses one. Whenever I spend a long amount of time on my phone and get off I get a very short headache and my eyes mess up my vision like everything goes blurry and its color and this happens for about 1-3 seconds I also lose my balance for a short time too. this all hits at once too so Im wondering what type of blue light glasses I should get.

I'm the opposite. I almost never forget a face, but for the life of me I cannot remember a person's name.
We see faces. Just can't remember them. You memorize your family and loved ones. It's difficult at work.
