That's what this rendition did for me when I first heard it 16 years ago and it's the way I still feel today. As beautiful and stylish as Nico's version was, I never honestly thought that it was her experience she was relating to us.

This is by far my favorite version of this song. Far better than any other cover I have heard and I honestly even prefer this over Nico or Jackson. Annie just brings a level of vulnerability to these lyrics that no one else can I think.
