The band was not happy about Warhol making them perform with her. Still, I must admit I attended 6 of the 15 or so concerts the Velvet Underground did at the Boston Tea Party between '67 and '70, and the full Exploding Plastic Inevitable show at the Savoy Theater in Boston, and I did like Nico's performances. To me she brought something of a mysterious and surreal quality to the songs she did.

Seperating the art from the artist here. I do deeply love and connect with this song, her voice is gorgeous too and makes this music so unique and fitting.. I can't say I adore the artist however, and that is okay. Nico could've been a better person for sure and I'll remind everyone of it. That doesn't mean I will stop listening to this, I'll just thank Nico for sharing her song with us and that is all I'll thank her for.
