  • ProPublica and Documented obtained more than 14 hours of never-before-published videos from Project 2025’s Presidential Administration Academy, which are intended to train the next conservative administration's political appointees “to be ready on day one.”
Project 2025, the controversial playbook and policy guide created by the Heritage Foundation for a future conservative presidential administration, has lost its director. In recent weeks, it faced scathing criticism from both Democratic groups and former President Donald Trump, whose campaign has tried to distance itself from the effort. But Project 2025’s plan to train an army of political appointees who could battle against the so-called deep state government bureaucracy remains on track.
For transparency, we are publishing the videos as we obtained them.
The Heritage Foundation and most of the people who appear in the videos cited in our story did not respond to ProPublica’s repeated requests for comment. Karoline Leavitt, a spokesperson for the Trump campaign, said, “As our campaign leadership and President Trump have repeatedly stated, Agenda 47 is the only official policy agenda from our campaign.”
In this video, Chris Hayes and Karoline Leavitt discuss tenets of how to act with professionalism while serving in government.
Hayes worked for the Leadership Institute, a think tank that offers leadership and management resources for the conservative movement.
Karoline Leavitt worked in the Trump White House press office and is now a spokesperson for Trump’s 2024 reelection campaign.

They're training political appointees to be obedient to their bosses, and never question the extreme right-wing decision to completely strip the American people of their constitutional rights. Classic groundwork for an authoritarian government.

The left cheers it on when the 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th Amendment rights of who they perceive as their political opponents are violated. When you talk about the constitutionally protected rights of Americans, you just mean the rights you agree with of the people you agree with. Eventually you’ll reap what you sow when the authoritarian powers of Federal agencies and the corporations that the leftwing has empowered are turned on you. Case in point: left can’t stop crying about Gaza, but Biden is the one sending weapons and Nancy Pelosi is so happy to gather votes to ensure they are well stocked on missiles.

Yes, the way they refer to long-term government agents in the language video was pretty revealing. They assume that anyone who predates their administration is some kind of brainless communist

This is pure comedy. “You may not know what you’re supposed to do as a political appointee. Be an expert at your job.” 😂

21:50 "Being a servant leader is absolutely the best kind of leader, and is also the best kind of colleague."
Did that actually come out of the mouth of a Trumpist?

2:51 "There's no such thing as a good professional who can't do their job. So, competence is the first thing that I want you all to think about when it comes to professionalism."
Meanwhile, in the video on "The Federal Workforce," the Heritage Foundation explains how it's more important to be aligned with the President's politics than to have any experience when it comes to appointment. What can we conclude from this? That the Project 2025 plan is to fill the political ranks with unprofessional people.

Not really. There is little in the 1/2 dozen videos that is of practical advise.
Videos could have been from the 1960 where collaboration is discouraged and competition RULES.
Today's workplace has updated management styles that MOTIVATE towards goals.

I say this in other comments because it remains true, they are training to become “yes men and women” because blind obedience seems more important to them than actual teamwork and having the fortitude of character to speak truth to power

Much of this is generic business training, but organized with nefarious intent others have already commented on well. However, think of Chris Hedges videos talking about forming coalitions with Nader and groups with conflicting secondary issues, versus black flag limits against RFK.
I recall local Dem party leaders suggesting a statement of condolences and sympathy for McCain's death. I got them to reconsider, by raising the conflict between basing pro forma respect for trappings of politeness or decorum someone like that manifests, versus his real history as an underhanded thug in state level politics according to friends from his home state, and seeing how treacherously he worked Senate Committee process in devious ways, that most people don't watch closely enough to notice.
There's really no way such snakes in the grass can say FOAD with a smile and nice suit and handshake after, and deserve respect when their actions are so at odds with the superficial sense of caring and engagement.

Blind Loyalty (also Blind Obedience, Unthinking Obedience, the "Team Player" appeal, the Nuremberg Defense): The dangerous fallacy that an argument or action is right simply and solely because a respected leader or source (a President, expert, one’s parents, one's own "side," team or country, one’s boss or commanding officers) says it is right. This is over-reliance on authority, a gravely corrupted argument from ethos that puts loyalty above truth, above one's own reason and above conscience. In this case a person attempts to justify incorrect, stupid or criminal behavior by whining "That's what I was told to do," or “I was just following orders." See also, The Big Brain/Little Brain Fallacy, and The "Soldiers' Honor" Fallacy.

The Big Brain/Little Brain Fallacy (also, the Führerprinzip; Mad Leader Disease): A not-uncommon but extreme example of the Blind Loyalty Fallacy below, in which a tyrannical boss, military commander, or religious or cult-leader tells followers "Don't think with your little brains (the brain in your head), but with your BIG brain (mine).
