  • ProPublica and Documented obtained more than 14 hours of never-before-published videos from Project 2025’s Presidential Administration Academy, which are intended to train the next conservative administration's political appointees “to be ready on day one.”
Project 2025, the controversial playbook and policy guide created by the Heritage Foundation for a future conservative presidential administration, has lost its director. In recent weeks, it faced scathing criticism from both Democratic groups and former President Donald Trump, whose campaign has tried to distance itself from the effort. But Project 2025’s plan to train an army of political appointees who could battle against the so-called deep state government bureaucracy remains on track.
For transparency, we are publishing the videos as we obtained them.
The Heritage Foundation and most of the people who appear in the videos cited in our story did not respond to ProPublica’s repeated requests for comment. Karoline Leavitt, a spokesperson for the Trump campaign, said, “As our campaign leadership and President Trump have repeatedly stated, Agenda 47 is the only official policy agenda from our campaign.”
In this video, Paul Ray talks about what the so-called administrative state is, what it does and how a conservative administration could use its authority to rein in government regulation.
Ray is a former Trump administration lawyer who served as the administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs during the Trump administration.

summary - it's basically the libertarian stance, based on the video, they're philosophically opposed to Federal regulations as a whole and believe in state level regulations. As a safety consultant that works with OSHA, I can guarantee you OSHA is the BARE MINIMUM of safety. I've seen so much neglect from employers that is honestly just worrying, I have no doubt that the neglect of the safety of workers would be rampant if there was nobody there to stop them. The only thing I might give Project 2025 is that some regulations are very open ended and not specific, and it's annoying to get hit by a fine that isn't explicitly stated in the standards themselves, but at that point one is asking for MORE regulations, and not less, the reason why they're open ended is because it's literally impossible to account for every specific circumstance while maintaining a reasonable length standard of safety. Also, when it comes to OSHA specifically, they have something called "State Plans", which essentially allow just what Project 2025 desires - allowing the state themselves to set the standards and regulations for themselves. OK. That being said, I'd like to see what Project 2025 would point to SPECIFICALLY as what they would consider a horrible standard of whatever regulation, and why, I think it's reasonable believe that there is a ton of bureaucracy, and that there are misguided incentives that are part of these machines that need amendment, and it would be reasonable for Project 2025 to point to those specific issues. However, to say that the Federal regulation machine itself is broken and must be done away with feels like it forgets why these Federal regulations exist in the first place.

They HAVE forgotten why regulations & labor laws exist. They also seem to believe that enacting those laws & regulations is greatly restricting the ability of corporations & those that lead them, to become insanely wealthy & denying them their Gods given rights to obtain property. Wouldn't that be better for everyone? ... 🤦‍♂️

You’re being way too charitable. This is training to undermine all current federal agencies and replace existing staff with their own appointees. This has nothing to do with passing regulations back to the states, they are plotting to take control over our federal government.

It's also wrong. The Constitution explicitly states that the federal government is to promote the general welfare. I cannot believe they want to gut OSHA. These people are insane.

Around 13:05 when they delve into factionalism, he doesn't realize that political parties & think tanks like The Heritage Foundation are factions. Their entire series of "training videos" are entended to create a faction.
JFC, they possess zero propensity for self reflection.

How do you cast for such creepy, bland, and yt spokespeople? You have to try hard to find such low charisma and yet pretentiously creepy people to train your new regime.

Blind Loyalty (also Blind Obedience, Unthinking Obedience, the "Team Player" appeal, the Nuremberg Defense): The dangerous fallacy that an argument or action is right simply and solely because a respected leader or source (a President, expert, one’s parents, one's own "side," team or country, one’s boss or commanding officers) says it is right. This is over-reliance on authority, a gravely corrupted argument from ethos that puts loyalty above truth, above one's own reason and above conscience. In this case a person attempts to justify incorrect, stupid or criminal behavior by whining "That's what I was told to do," or “I was just following orders." See also, The Big Brain/Little Brain Fallacy, and The "Soldiers' Honor" Fallacy.

There's good reason for church and state to be kept separate, because this guy, and others just like him, want to impose their theocratic beliefs and ideals onto everyone else.

Deregulation would also be factionalism, with it favoring the wealthy company owners at the expense of the average Americans who are either working for them or buying their products.
