Prayers this Christmas. As a single mom it can be hard to have everything on your shoulders. Especially because both of my sons are autistic. It’s difficult to raise children alone but despite the challenges I face I keep faith in you Lord. As I struggle to pay rent and as I struggle to buy groceries for my children. Jesus deliver me from my anxieties, and my troubles. Give me strength. Since suffering a heart attack two years ago and my on going battle with lupus I’m overwhelmed. Help me to find strength when I am weak, And hope when I am afraid. I will keep faith no matter what I face. ❤
Modern Western man is no longer capable of recognizing the spiritual battles they are now constantly engaged in, let alone to know how to deal with them. A massive paradigm shift has occurred in the West and what we are now witnessing are the psychic ripple effects of that shift. Most people can focus only on one of the numerous psychic shocks at a time and being ignorant of the larger picture, pick a side in that battle, and think they are doing something about it when what is really happening is that “side” is doing something about them. The first element of God’s judgement on a backslidden polity is He takes away understanding.

Every secular country is vastly better in terms of human happiness by any measure Every country with religion tied to the government is far worse in terms of human happiness. You can't just state, as fact, that a decline in Christianity, correlates directly to some vague sense of "worseness" in society. Christianity gives men and women different roles in the family based on their biological and psychological characteristics and the balance between the two
@@zeno2501 As do all other religions, as well as many other non-religious people, including some atheists. This is a social opinion, it's not peculiar to Christianity.
This is a fairly common thing with religions. After 2000 years or so, old religions die out, from boredom to just disbelief to this isn’t working and the final, there is no god/s. It happened to all religions from the start of humanity. Science/technology is the new religion.
The decline is only in the sense that people are more open in saying they do not believe in supernatural literalism. Other than that, the social culture is still there. On the issue of less interest in church-based social activities, it's more likely to be a result of a faster paced life. People sometimes just do not have that much time and energy for such activities.
