I prefer Melmetal.. it covers most top gym defenders and also resists all the dazzling gleams from Chansey and Blissey or even outrage from Snorlax. Covers dragonite very well with rock slide.
Melmetal with Rock Slide & Superpower is the ultimate gym attacker, super effective against so much with its amazing coverage, resists many common common attacks, can hit neutrally against a lot of things, charges up fast with Thundershock. And it’s fairly bulky so you don’t end up using very many revives. I’ve got a dedicated gym team that has 3 Melmetals, 2 Mewtwo’s; Psystrike for Fighting type coverage, second move on one is Focus Blast (for coming back into Blissey, Chansey etc) & Ice Beam on the other for Ground types, more specifically Garchomp. Shadow Machamp last, with Counter, Dynamic Punch & Payback - no point having Rock Slide when the Melmetals have all got it. The list Jinsula has come up with is good, but Melmetal should’ve been on there without doubt.
Honerable mention is Swampert. Having access to the obvious 40 energy powerful hard hitting Hydrocannon as well as 60 energy Earthquake for raids and Gyms. And as far as rocket battles/PVP/Trainer battles it's very good with Mudshot for Mudshot generates alot of energy and is very spammy with it.I just maxed out my 98% Swampert but I'm also thinking about maxing a 2nd one, because personally one of it's best attacks for rocket battles/PVP in my opinion based on my experience, beileve it or not is Muddy Water, as it is it's most spammiest moves only costing 35 energy, granted it lacks damage output like Hydrocannon for only 5 more energy and is definitely it's best offensive move, but as far as baiting shields it is most useful with Mudshot for being it's fastest move to quickly get the Rocket grunt/opponent to Sheild and at the same time their mon having a 30% chance of debuffing their attack regardless if they shielded or not, which makes it alot more useful. Thus I'm thinking about maxing a 2nd Swampert as preferably I want one Swampert with Mudshot + Hydrocannon & Muddy Water and another Swampert with Mudshot+ Earthquake and Muddy water instead of one Swampert with both Earthquake and Hydrocannon, as both Hydrocannon and earthquake are useful moves for it as far as raids and gym battle and I know y'all are thinking why don't I just have both of those moves on one, as Muddy water for rocket battles is very convincint along with a 2nd move being a nuke of either earthquake or Hydrocannon as I want to use both and thus I really would prefer to have 2 separate Swamperts, one with Hydrocannon and the other with earthquake for raids while both having Muddy Water that makes life that much easier in Rocket battles ans pvp
6:26 "electric and dragon synergize very well as many counters to electric types struggle against dragon" electric weaknesses: ground dragon resists: grass, water, fire, electric. -no coverage "and vise versa" dragon weaknesses: dragon, ice, fairy electric resists: electric, steel, flying.- no coverage
I love my bonk-eldurr. I think mine is 47 or 47.5 so we’re getting there but it clears chansey/blissey super quick and with stone edge as the second move, it’s okay with some of the flying counters.
There are 3 types of people when putting Pokémon in gyms 1. The ones that don’t care at all they just put the 12cp caterpie they caught in the wild 2. The person that flexes shiny/shadows (the shiny/shadow Pokémon they put may be good and bad)3. The person that actually puts good Pokémon in the gym such as actual defenders with over 1k cp
You forgot the people who do theme gyms: Type themes, color themes and Shiney showcases. I personally love seeing a good theme gym and refuse to attack them.
Have 3 spoofers in my neighbourhood. 2 of them have 2 accounts. 1 of them has 4 accounts (this one is obvious because they flex regionals within days of release…they have 4/4 Oricorio, one on each account). …and they’re all on the same team.
Im confused, i started playing 6 weeks ago to play with my grand kids. In the mornings you can take down a full gym with a Pikachu. If you want a gym you can take a gym full of max health chanseys, it will only cost you 5 more minutes. This whole video seems more complicated than it really is. Love the channel but confused by this one. Maybe things changed in a year.
Maybe for you, but a lot of people I know started playing around GO Fest last year. They often ask what they should use for whatever gameplay, because they only go with whats Recommended. These sort of vids aren't really on RUclips anymore, so I took the liberty to make it :)
Thank you for making this video I just started playing I started in 2016 and stopped I just redownloaded 2023 so yes please make this videos probably even more

It's sad how they nerfed the gym system.
How was it nerfed and when?
I prefer Melmetal.. it covers most top gym defenders and also resists all the dazzling gleams from Chansey and Blissey or even outrage from Snorlax. Covers dragonite very well with rock slide.

Lol I was looking for someone else who noticed

Shadow Machop is not currently available from team rocket grunts, we get either shadow hitmonlee or shadow hitmonchamp
I actually have a Shiny Shadow Metagross and he's a beast! 😎
Yeah i also have that beast and today i made it my best buddy😎
@@dmb7995 congrats! I'm currently working on that too! 🎀
Amazing tips thanks

I put my shiny shadows or high cp shinies unless it’s my lv 1 shiny ditto

My attacker usually teams of 6 rhydons since 2016
Zekrom gang, we in the top 5 ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
I have a best buddy 4* shadow Salamence with outrage and he is incredibly helpful to say the least
Wow very nice
How do you even get shadow Metagross??
Shadow Metang is a possible encounter from Psychic Grunts
When dealing with GPS spoofers this does not always work!
Have 3 spoofers in my neighbourhood.
