    2 grams heavier in the heel will move the cobra left more and COULD bring those far right misses in 5 to 10 yards. It won't make you hook it either. Advice from the bleachers! HAHa🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    Going to be a monster of a final. I know you had a couple far right with the Cobra, but overall you did hit it better than the stealth. If you look at "East to West" dispersion you were better with the Cobra. I'd rather have a driver I know I'm going to hit on one side of the target line rather than spraying both sides. Gives me better confidence on the tee box. Another great bracket video!!

      LMFAO! The age old question! I’m no doctor so here’s what google says - “When you do pass stool however, the relaxation of the stronger anal sphincter also decreases tension in the weaker urinary sphincter, allowing urine to pass at the same time. But this isn't always the case - it is possible, but difficult, to do one without doing the other.”

    End of the day when you look at what the average handicap is of most golfers, its so hard to judge what's best for the "average golfer". With the price point of some of these drivers. Most average golfers aren't replacing their drivers every year. Way to expensive to upgrade all the time. And most of them just care about an extra 4 to 5 yards...before the beers lol. You should reach out to the bob does sports guys! Would love to see a video of you playing against those guys! They are hilarious!

    There is something to say with the Cobra being consistently to the right. Its predictable. The Taylormade goes both directions which means its unpredictable and thats a bad gamble in golf. In the end, the right club won this match up for you. I will stick with my LTDx LS Tensei White X :) Its predictable and thats what I need the most on the course.

From my testing the new Wilson Dynapower Driver on Trackman I am getting excellent results .. i like 'distance achieved' but the real measure for me is in 'dispersion'. I look forward to seeing your results with the cheaper new Wilson Dynapower driver. Eric.

    This is the first video I have seen so not sure entirely how the dispersion works but I would think you should somehow do it not off the centre line but the distance between the farthest right and left . I say this because in my eyes you could just sim the cobra 10 yards left and you know it’s going to fall right as with the Taylormade you don’t know where it’s going. Just an opinion

  • @Longbal30
    @Longbal30 Год назад +1

    Biggest plus on the cobra is it took one side out of play for you. Instead of aiming down the middle and losing a few right you could have aimed 10 years left and hit the fairway every time. Can’t say that for the Stealth. Stealth had a 2 way miss.

  • @ryanjacobsongolf7845
    @ryanjacobsongolf7845 Год назад +1

    I think your measurements make sense, and it's nice that year to year, it's consistent, so we can see differences from year to year. When it comes to drivers, the average person is chasing distance, so it makes sense if it's slightly outweighed over dispersion. Personally, on the course, 2,400 or 2,500 rpm is probably where people want to be with the ability to take spin off it if they have a wide open hole and want to let one go.

    Great video once again. Already looking forward to next year! I'll add my 2 cents. When I'm hitting my driver anywhere long and in the fairway is the goal. So, when testing I wouldn't deduct anything for a drive in the fairway. I would deduct a set number for 1 yard or 1st cut, another set number for primary rough, and another set number for OB. IMO, this would be a more real-life test.

    Would love if you included the strike pattern heat map for each driver to see if you had any noticeable strike patterns between the two. You mentioned your smash factor being down with the Stealth which implies off-center contact, but id be curious to see your smash factor compared to the actual strike location on the club face. I have a hunch that you had a very similar strike pattern with both drivers and the Stealths face just isn't as hot as a lot of other drivers this year right off the rack.

Sure one might be a teensy bit better at turning or straightaways etc. It's basically pick your favorite color (or brand) and go with that. All these drivers can be tweaked to be more more accurate. Pick what you want in the bag. Might be looks or brand name or what have you. If you're happy looking down at the club you'll play better golf.

    In my mind it makes sense to take consistency into account with accuracy. Because at then end of the day, if you know your ball is generally going right, you just favor left. To do this you would could just subtract the total dispersion rather than average. (13 yards right and 17 yards left is a 40yd dispersion group) 3 left and 21 left is only 18. Just spitballing.
    Awesome job! Great format.

    Brandon, holy crap, you were crushing both drivers! A couple thoughts - add a penalty for OB shots, since in the real world they add strokes to a round. Also, your accuracy rating doesn’t really reflect true dispersion. So, even though the Stealth2 was overall closer to the center line, you had a two way miss and dispersion was far bigger than Cobra. On the course any of us would take a one-way miss over a two way. With Cobra you could just aim left-center and hit the fairway every time. So, I would recommend moving from what you call “accuracy” and rate dispersion instead. Keep up the great work!

    I recently went and got fitted for new driver. Going into it I wanted and told the fitter I wanted a paradym or stealth. He came back with paradym, stealth, aerojet, and titleist. After hitting all 4, the titleist and the cobra perform the best. In the end cobra in up edging out the the titleist narrowly. I had no intention of even trying this club out and now it’s in my bag. Don’t be stuck on the brand, try all of them out to see which 1 fits your game. Normally I don’t comment but couldn’t help myself after seeing both the clubs that performed best for me in the finals. I’ve lost count of how many reviews/comparisons where the Stealth and Stealth 2 drivers achieve their distance through high club head speed, which could be due the slightly longer shaft, but might also be the aerodynamics of the head. But for all that head speed they have a low smash factor, so it isn’t translated into ball speed. Same club head speed here was 3mph less ball speed. That’s a BIG difference, and I highly doubt the extra quarter inch on the shaft is to blame for that. This pattern has been repeated so many times, I actually think TM’s carbonwood era may just be all hype….

    I think look at from a strokes gained perspective, like Lou Stagner has said many times for amateurs fairway isn't important but keeping it in play is so if you had a grid and it went outside that there would be a penalty for that driver in the head to head if that makes sense. the problem with yards offline is if you hit one 40 yards left and one 40 yards right doesn't that equal things out so although the dispersion is 80yards wide the average offline would be less or am I being stupid

    • @NewNineGolf

      Haha I know what you’re saying. On the trackman yes, that’s how the average is calculate however we don’t use the average from trackman. When we do our math we just use the # offline. We don’t take into account left or right so there isn’t drivers that cancel eachother out.

      @@NewNineGolf that's good to know thanks for the reply, even if Taylormade won Cobra would have been the one to go with just aim left side and hitting all fairways way more predictable .

      COBRA for the W. The brand as you mentioned has come an insanely long way. The look, the feel, I have been playing cobra for over 20 years (all the way back to the SSI oversized (which is my current setup) so the jump to new clubs will be massive. Though I am playing the LTDx driver currently. When I upgrade to the Aerojet I do believe that 50th anniversary club is coming home with me.

    The Stealth 2 seemed to be more accurate because if you hit a shot 100 yards left and a shot 100 yards right your average offline is 0 however those 2 shots would be 200 yards apart. What was the standard deviation for offline with both?

    • @NewNineGolf
      @NewNineGolf  Год назад

      We calculated the average offline by adding up how far each shot was offline then dividing it by the number of shots. Ya trackman calculates it how you described so we had to do it manually.

    I just think it’s interesting you only take into account two metrics. Maybe take into account the spin, the ball speed and the other metrics.

    Consistency is the most important thing for me. Some drivers I feel like you can put the same exact swing on it, and it behaves substantially different enough that one shot is perfect and the other is in the second cut.
    Despite being a pretty big hitter, distance doesn't matter as much as knowing exactly how the club is going to react to me.

    As a guy that’s not really having much of a distance issue (also from Calgary) I find accurate drives/finding fairways trumps an extra 10-15 yards in the rough/hazards. I would agree that distance can definitely help, but finding the short stuff means a lot more to me than smashing one as far as I can. Personally why I’m still gaming the ltdx from last year over the stealth plus I have. Freedoms to stand on a tee and not be scared of one peeling left (or right) helps me in my approach on a course! Thanks for the awesome videos and feedback!
