Lydia, would you consider doing a video for people who only have a black and a brown or a white jacket in their wardrobe and how you would incorporate them with everyday looks because not everyone owns neutral, dark, cool toned, warm toned outerwear and also shoes in every shade to tie looks together. Lydia, I love love looove your videos! And lately I have been religiously following all your tips on how to dress classic yet effortlessly. However, I'm a moslem girl who practicing modest outfit with hijab/scarf. And eventhough your style is more on oversized and simple cutting which I find very convinient to mimic on my daily outfits, I still find it challenging once I put my hijab/scarf on. I wonder if you could specifically give us moslem girls some examples to incorporate your signature styles, your color schemes, your pick of accessories etc on moslem modest outfit. Thanks Lydia! ❤
I enjoy your videos/advice so much. I may be your oldest viewer (69), but your styles are classic with trends in mind, and is so much my style. I love how you show five ways to wear a classic item. I'm a 28" (US 6) in pants, but I often go with a 29 (US 8) to keep the front hanging straight in trousers, but in jeans, I tend to stay with the 28 (sometimes 27 if there's stretch in the material). I'm very frustrated by jeans. I've spent far too much on far too many, finding the jeans to look great for the first of the day, but often the stretch in so many jeans ruins the look. Do you recommend rigid denim without stretch? My Ted Baker high waist, wide leg have held up for a few years, and they're very rigid denim.
Denim is definitely looking better and "behaving" better without stretch.
Good denim with no stretch is the way to go. I suggest you try a 29 in Mother. Also try Current/Elliot and high-waisted BA&SH jeans, but look specifically for the non-stretch in Mother....I think you'll appreciate the throw-back to really great denim. I'm 55, and we are the same size. I wear a 28 in stretch Mother, but find that in those other brands I mentioned the non-stretch denim in 28 do loosen up a lot. I just don't have the patience with the Mothers, as they are really tight with no stretch.
Levis 501's have no elastane. I love the way they are straight denim and are rigid and hold their shape perfectly! I love the high waist. Try these on. I think you'll like them. Also, Levis has others with 100% denim. Look at the Premium offerings.
Rigid denim lasts way longer and looks more expensive, sometimes having a bit of stretch like (10-20% elastin) make them more comfortable yet still structured ..

You know, I was afraid the outfits were going to be too preppy for my preference because some of your recent shorts were more lady like - but I actually really like every single one of these looks! They are the perfect mix of relaxed and casual but smart so that the outfits work anywhere. Truly smart & casual.

I bit the bullet and ordered the jeans, they indeed run a bit big so I think I need to wait for the size below to be back in stock. They are very different from the jeans that I own, but I looove the style of them😍 They feel a bit more now then my other jeans and can't wait to wear them with your tips!

Hi Lydia, I really like the style with the looser fitting jeans (more on you than on me honestly) but I notice that you too pull them up all the time ... I realised that this is the main reason I dont wear this style in the end... it is fine in the morning but throughout the day the jeans get looser ... PS love your nails!
