I loved the chance to watch these during Covid Shielding, when missing my frequent, long visits to YWP was one of the worst parts. This doesn't show a lot of my favourites residents, or much of the free wildlife which thrives there, but it's so good to see the greatly-missed Sakis, and the Mara I look forward to seeing back in Amazonas.,
@ve never seen a depressed animal at YWP, except briefly, when one has recently lost a mate. They made a relaxing video, choosing some of the many moments when happy, content animals chill out. They could equally have shown the Polars playing with kayaks or traffic cones, or throwing objects far into one of their several lakes to try to dive in on top of them (doing back-flips sometimes as an extra challenge). Or the Critically-endangered Cotton-Tops and Roloways racing insanely through the branches of their trees, or Drake the Amur Leopard leaping and climbing on his massive network of platforms, poles and walkways, or rolling ecstatically on some new scent adding enrichment to his enclosure, or catching himself a wild Rabbit or Pigeon daft enough to stray into his territory. Wait long enough at any eclosure and you'll see animals having fun, but, just like you, some of their most contented moments also involve lounging about, doing very little. If they were cold, they are free to spend the day indoors if they choose,
Not true! If you look at the date it was recorded during the pandemic. This place and the animals they care for are amazing. Staff brilliant, animals well cared for and happy. Visited this morning to see the baby rhino. The place was packed, and the park atmosphere was joyful. The animals were out having great fun. Adults too!

Amazing place & was in awe of a lemur that jumped on my shoulder to get to a rope above ... Scared the kids a bit though ☺️
I'd sell my soul to go there again
