Lang Lang is the greatest pianist in the world. It doesn't even come close. He is technically phenomenal, and his showmanship and creativity when he performs are breathtaking. And he has a lovely personality too!

Greatest pianist is debatable since it's very subjective, but some could agree with you. However, the '' It doesn't even come close'' part is really exagerated and hints ignorance of other greats. Evgeny Kissin, Yundi Li, Valentina Lisitsa and Daniel Barenboim are few examples of top class pianist and they surely belong in the same elite group as Lang Lang.

Correction, sorry but 'The greatest' classical 'pianist in the world'. I know people and knew people, some to be remembered posthumously, whom Langy the lad could never touch. Distinctions need adjustment in terms of perspective otherwise people start believing, narrowly, that the impossible is impossible Encouragement is the key, not absolutes......

A truly sensitive and wise musician always appreciates the importance and the beauty of simplicity in music, in arts and in life in general. The pieces that you play in this video are some of the most beautiful and sublime musical pieces ever composed. This kind of music gives peace to the soul (what the world needs the most) . It’s vibrations harmonize and sensitize. I particularly enjoyed Rêverie (probably the best piece Debussy composed, along with Arabesque 1 and of course, Claire de lune). Whenever I listen to it I feel the same peace and gratitude that I feel when I contemplate the stars in the deep night sky. The infinite love of the universe expresses itself in every single one of its notes … Bravo!

Gracias!

Lang Lang is a musician who might get you in an addiction to the piano and classical music.
But be careful after you hear him playing you might get the feeling that the other pieces you have heard before from other piano players became soulless or tasteless.

His fingers move so smoothly it’s difficult to discern which fingers are actually making contact. It’s magical to watch him play.

Lang Lang is the piano phenomenon of the 20th and 21st centuries. His interpretations are breathtaking, the feeling that comes out of the piano keys can make our hearts stop and …. listen. I have never seen any piano player live with every tone of the music the way he does in this intimate atmosphere in New York.

Beautiful piece. Trills excite me. I could play and try it slowly. I think I need a teacher.
