Good points and the 25 Type S is $20K MORE than the CX-70. However, the Type S is more luxurious and an exquisite Sound System. Although I have not tested the CX-70 (and I will) , many have said that the MDX is much more comfortable and the seats offer better support. A Big Plus in the comparison is in MPGs!! The CX-70 is at least 30% Better than the Type S!
Every time this guy does a review on a mazda he always has something stupid to criticize about it. Constructive criticism is great and all but come on dude
I don't know why every reviewer gets the back of the CX70 wrong by suggesting they carry the CX90 cupholders over to the CX70. They are NOT the same. What one might do with them, I don't know, but the same, they are not.
Love the CX-70 I6 it's powerful and spacious. 🎉now needs to be RX sizes. 🥺 And adaptive dampers
If Mazda slapped some fog lights on this vehicle, it would complete the look. All that waste of space with no functionality…. Maybe some staggered fog lights or something Mazda… lol
The fact that this big vehicle is being compared to an Outback and Crown Insignia 🤣🤣🤣 blows my mind!
@@KhrissyDaDon Mazda playing 4D chess
I test drove the CX 90 last week with the 280 HP inline 6 preferred package and I had a blast driving it. I'm considering trading for the 90 tho. The 70 has cooler colors tho but the 5 seat thing doesn't make much sense to me
I wonder how it would turn out sales wise if it were possible to put the 3.3 in the Mazda 6
They promised to put the new inline 6 into the next generation Mazda 6 and then they backed out, probably because of the economy.
Now put that same I6 in a new gen Mazda 6.
I actually like the physical buttons of my Mazda. It’s all muscle movement.
God I'm sick and tired of people comparing the new Mazda offerings to BMW when Jaguar would make a far more equal comparison
Where's the new gen CX-5? It's been forever.
Couldn't help but notice you described as " annoying" several features and functions I approve of. Should I conclude you prefer bmw, just wondering.
I absolutely love your reviews but its like the 70 & 90 have been reviewed all ways of sunday 😂
We feel the same way! lol. Luckily, we’ll be testing out the new CX-50 Hybrid next month :)
Very luxurious
I’m looking at get a midsize suv. Came to check your review for this vehicle. A lot of pple have told me Mazda is reliable. I was looking at the Kia sorento.
I really wish this top trim had ventilated second row seats with the bench since they restrict that to Captain's chairs in the CX-90 which is so stupid. If Hyundai figured out how to have ventilated 2nd row seats in a bench seat for the Palisade SEL Premium & Jeep did the same for the Grand Cherokee 2-row, then Mazda should've done it to undercut the Grand Cherokee 2-row which is the only mainstream 2-row option that has that
@@CarsandTechInfo i agree
this one looks really good
Basically… “it’s no BMW and I’d never own one, but it might be good enough for you.”
Only one thing matters, if the man who purchased the vehicle is happy, that's all that matters, and our opinion doesn't matter
Funny thing is… in 10 years time, the Mazda will be worth more than the BMW X-5 and costs 10’s of thousands less new.
As good as the x5 is though, they’re everywhere literally. Might as well go for something different.
Great looking outside and in but that damn engine whine would be a dealbreaker for me. Definitely room for improving Generation 2 of this vehicle.
Great review. Salamat!
This was on my short list for my next car but the new power train is still giving me pause. Thinking a certified used MDX Advanced or GX460 for the reliability but man this thing looks so good and loved the CX-9 and any Mazda I’ve driven.
Mazda just needs to go full touchscreen all the time.
No they dont need to. Go to other brand if you dont like it
Good review.
BMW B58 engines with a 48v mild hybrid system also have traditional starter sounds FWIW.
My guess is that the dash, in front of the infotainment screen, will get dingy very quickly. It needs to brought forward and made fully touch sensitive for all of its functions. Leave the climate controls alone though….I love buttons, switches, and knobs.
No. Mazda dont need to hear your silly whine. Bye

I wish they had this trim for the Phev model. Canada has it available, we need it in the USA also.
For the price, Mazda cheaped out on having the seats and mirrors adjust to each remote and seats setting.
The mirrors adjust with the Driver Personalization System. I'll have to confirm whether that's the case when using the Seat Memory buttons.
@@vince-g6f the side mirrors and the seat do adjust individually for each fob, and the preferences for the HUD you just have to set them

I like the CX70, but I feel like Mazda really missed the mark with it. If they made it the "coupe" body style and added some fog lights and dual exhausts, it would be damn near perfect IMO.
Mazda, please put that I6 in a sedan!
Edit: Launch Control? In this SUV it'll only be used by YTers, auto journalists, and teenagers. I'd venture to say vast majority of CX-70 owners will never, ever, use the Launch Control. There's no reason for Mazda to put in the Launch Control only to appease journalists, lest they get sued by ignorant parents when their teenagers eventually crash the car.
They were planning that in a next gen Mazda6 but that's not happening at least for now.
I don't want a touch screen while I'm driving because I'm too busy playing Valorant.
13:12 Sounds like the first note to Carly Simon's Nobody Does It Better. Nice SUV though.
What fuel and at what elevation and temp ?
You are wrong about touch screen, big reason I buy Mazda is the control knob and interphace instead of just plain old touch screen that is going cheap.
Why people complain too much that this is just a cx 90 with no 3rd row. Get over it.. thats what mazda offers and never mind the badge. There are still some difference on each one. What if mazda made the cx 70 smaller? Then people would still complain" why dont just buy a cx 50.. or a cx 5"? C'mon.. how bout the grand higlander and lexus tx? A grand caravan and town and country? A civic and nsx? And many more? Whats are the differences? Just the BADGE!
I don’t understand why car manufacturers stopped putting 4-way lumbar in their vehicles.
Looks like the tall awkward kid in every high school. Lol
More color choices flexibility, fog lights during a storm at night would be nice...
Like so many others, I was shocked that these dimensions are the exact same as the CX-90. Everyone knows they should have shortened this model and maybe made it a little sportier than the 90. Hopefully they learn their lesson over the next couple years and introduce a better option.
@@PCConditioning they learned their lesson that they are doing right. It already sells very well. Mazda dont need an opinion from people who are going to hate Mazda especially so called journalists
They need to bring the cx-60 to the US
Because the value and size focused US market would be really greedy to get a smaller SUV for same price, right? The CX-60 is not cheaper in Europe… it is $60,000 in UK after conversion.
The color looks great ... The front & rear turn signals, IMHO, would be better if sequential, not flickering ...
Yeahhhh that diminished signal is weird.
@@tapper701 flickering? That is just because of the camera frame rate idiot. Plus, Mazda owners prefer this pulsing turn signals to stay. Your opinion didnt matter
Was the transmission in sport? Does the transmission have a sport setting?
Just FYI The audio is really bad
Was listening to the review in my car and I thought the windows were slightly open. Drove me nuts
You referring to the Bose audio?
Im in the minority for sure, but I like this, and I get what they were going for. Just too expensive… The Passport is also a large 2 row crossover, costs about $12k less than this, and is quicker. I get that the Mazda’s interior is objectively nicer, but $12k nicer? Idk man…
You’re forgetting the inline 6 and RWD dynamics you’ll get on the Mazda. Thr passport has sh awd but it’s not as rear biased as the Mazda
@@naveenthemachineThe passport has a perfectly fine NA v6. And so what if it's not RWD? Not everyone needs that for this price.
