Real talk: I do NOT *require* this pen. I just really enjoy my fountain pens in large part thanks to you and would enjoy adding this to my little collection. I didn't even know about this brand before this video, so thanks for exposing me to yet another fountain pen! :-)
I'm pleased to see this review of Scriveiner pens . I bought one on Amazon back in December as birthday gift for myself. It is a wonderful fountain pen and a great, dependable writer with a smooth, gliding feel--no skips, no hard starts. It is an absolute pleasure to write with. It performs better than some of my pens that cost 4 to 5 times as much. It is the standard I measure all my pens against. None have beaten my Scriveiner.
Thank You! I actually really liked the brass version and my hands are pretty small and feel perfectly fine with such small pens without posting them...I guess that is very simple and honest explanation why I'd love to have it.
Sciveiner was actually my first fountain pen. My friend gave me one last year for my birthday- their original in chrome with gold accents, and it sent me down this crazy rabbit hole of a hobby and drives my wife crazy. That medium Schmidt nib is amazing and smooth, with no hard starts like you said. Didn’t even know they came out with a new model until I saw your video, so thanks, I have another to add to the wish list! Thank you for the review.
I believe that adding this fountain pen to my collection would be a great choice. The fact that it features a Schmidt nib, which I don't currently have, makes it all the more enticing. I am particularly drawn to its smooth and enjoyable writing experience. Thank you for considering my request.
Nice review, thank you! I have just started my foray into EDC pens and the only one I have is a Kaweco. The Scriveiner would make good company. Cheers!
Great review, as always. My reason - I also like shiny things and these are shinier than anything I have already. My collection also does not yet include something made in UK. And I particularly appreciate things that simply work, anytime and every time.
My current EDC pens are an Ensso Piuma Pocket in titanium and a Gravitas pocket in stainless steel... I'm a sucker for metal EDC pocket pens (which is why I should get this Scriveiner).
I wonder precisely how heavy and back heavy respectively they are. Thirty-three grams for the ”stainless steel” version is a figure I managed to figure out on their home page. How many grams thereof is from the cap, it doesn’t say. I couldn’t find the aluminium pen on their site so the weight of the aluminium pen remains unknown to me.
There are probably many folk who need this pen more than me, but, as a pocket pen collector, I would very much like to own this handsome and uncommon pen. I do like the three finishes shown, and am very grateful you are doing a generous give away. As for the design, i loke that the posting threads are part way down the barrel, leaving them less exposed than on many other models, and the posting more secure.
I require this pen like I require another hole in my head. I am glad you are giving away the brass or bronze one. One of my EDC’s is the Kaweco brass sport and it will be interesting to see how they compare.
I would love this pen because I work in a hospital and good, reliable writers are always needed. The compact size would help it stay secure in my scrubs and the threaded posting would be essential for me to not lose the cap. Love the video and keep it up!
I own one of the original Scriveiner fountain pens (the red one) and would love to become the owner of one of their new EDC models! I would especially love to own one that has appeared in one of your videos! I have always appreciated your reviews and your sense of humor!
An EDC fountain pen is quite practical. Fits in every pocket, is easy to handle and fits in any suitcase. I have been watching your videos on my SMARTV for a long time and I really like all your reviews. Take care. Thanks.
thank you for the review! This pen would be a great thing to have because I am in need of a reliably starting fountain pen that is easy to, um, carry. I am not a fan of carrying backup ballpoints etc. and something reliable would be great.
Never heard of Scriveiner before, thanks for the review! Sounds really good how you you underlined the smoothness of the nib. Now I don't exactly need the pen, as I already have EDC pens, so let somebody else get it. Cheers!
I currently carry a Kaweco Sport with their classic clip attachment. It has replaced the pocket knife that I used to carry clipped to my right pants pocket because I already keep a multitool on me anyway, and frankly I like what carrying the fountain pen says about me more than the knife (both to myself and to the rare other who does notice it). I do feel I have to be mindful of the plastic of the Kaweco and not to accidentally lay down on my right side while it's still in my pocket. So I'd love to give the (presumably more durable) Scrivener EDC a shot as an occasional stand in for my Sport!
Dr. Brown, as an impossibly huge fan of fountain pens and a much greater fan of your reviews of these wonderful writing instruments, this combination is the most perfect reason why I should be chosen the winner and new owner of the give-away and your gracious kindness provided herein. As an aside... I was one of the lucky few to successfully place pre-order for your SBRE Brown LOI Momento Zero Grande from Appelboom... I am anxiously awaiting its arrival... Please, stay safe. With warmth and kindness, Xerxius Maximus
I would like to enter your giveaway but am unsure how you will be notifying the "winner". could you clarify? by the way, I need the pen to write things with.
Thanks for showing off a brand that’s new to me (and more of us I see). I don’t know if this counts as needing the pen, but I will say it will probably look normal sized in my small hands since I can perfectly comfortably use Kaweco Sports unposted.
I was sent a chrome and gold Scriveiner (slightly different model) for a birthday from a family member that didn't ever use a fountain pen. I have it in regular rotation for use. Because I've never used a Benu, curious to see if they write similar, because of the Schmidt nibs in both. Exactly not cheap, but well within the range of affordable. Might be "designed in London," but they are, like many things today, made in China for everything but the nib unit and converter. Very nicely put together, and I'd expect decades of good use from one. (Unlike some, they don't hide the country of manufacture. A plus, IMO.😉)
Hey Stephen! Another great video! I need that pen to save the world. I have uncovered a plot of Professor Tarquin Danglebury to flood the oceans with fountain pen ink (he allegedly believes it will be beautiful and that the fishes will be fine) unless this particular Scriveiner fountain pen is used to ruin his dastardly plan.
Very many thanks for reviewing these pens. Being an EDC, and shorter than most when capped, this would be a useful addition to keep in my jacket! Great also to hear that the nib is so smooth! Also, with my sausage fingers, the larger posted size makes it sound perfect! Presumably the tendency to uncap is lowered by the fact that the clip is on the big part?
i do really enjoy your videos and your sense of humour. especially the very consistent writing samples. i would love to touch and feel this pen given the shorter length and how smooth that nib actually is.
I like hearing your opinions on different european fountain pens brands. I'm australian and at the very begining of my fountain pen journey, there are not as many in person resources available to me and your reviews have given me a lot of valuable information. And about the Scriveiner specifically, I quite like the small size and the shiny chrome! I've not got a pen like it (so far)!
Very informative review, as always. It so happens that I do not own an EDC type pen. I tend to keep my pens at home usually, for fear of losing them. A small pen like this would be ideal for working in the library.
Hi Stephen. Thank you for your amazing pen reviews. I would like to get this pen, because I do not have any Scriveiner pen and looks very interesting. Thanks.
I need this pen because as of now, I have no metal pens in my collection, save the Metropolitan, which is very light. I’m keen to know what that feels like in the hand. And it would be fun to win something from you. 😊
Hey. I believe I need an EDC fountain pen because I'm pretty sure it fits in all my small bags and it's really easy to carry around town, school, bank, mall... This particular EDC Scriveiner looks like a really good pen with the Schmidt nib, one of the best nibs in the world as well as yowo and bock. Thank you for this giveaway. The winner will be very happy with this Scriveiner...
I enjoyed your review of this pen and model. I do not think I have heard of the company, previously. I do not own any pocket / edc pens. I don't know why. Perhaps none of them intrigued me. This one does. Very good review.
Thanks for letting us know about these pens. Why do i require it? I don't have any Schmidt nibs. I'd like to have a small pen that has some heft. I like the clean lines. I don't have an EDC and maybe getting one will get me to leave the house more. Okay I don't require it, but thanks for the opportunity.
Absolutely stunning pens! I unfortunately live in South Africa so I imagine shipping will be exorbitant but I'm throwing my hat in the ring nonetheless! Would compliment my kaweco brass well I think
cool review as always Doc. Why me you ask? Because while I keep flirting with the idea; I have yet to procure a fountain pen and this seems like a great and perhaps sensible place to start. Esp since its green, I love green and my first pen has to be green. Thanks a lot!
I don’t need the pen but I would give it to a friend who carries a pen in their pocket most days and a rugged pen is something they really like and enjoy.
I love to switch subtitles on in your reviews. 10:12 "I always carry pens in the pancakes"... :) And I do not need this pen, as I tend to avoid metal sections (exception for Diplomat Aero and Ensso XS Ti, but these two are so special), so good luck to anyone who wins it!
Always love your reviews - nothing but the truth, which is refreshing. Why do I want one of these pens? Well, they’re made in the UK, and so was I. And also I’m a little old girl with little hands and I think this would be perfect for me. And, of course, I love a worthwhile freebie! xx
Thank you Dr. Brown for another informative and entertaining review. I require this pen because i have a Scriveiner pen which I love but it is not the EDC and obviously that will not do. It will not do at all. Totally unacceptable. So you must of necessity choose me.
This brand is new to me. Why I require it? Because I don't have any real British pens (Parkers made in France don't count) and I do carry my pen in my purse. A sturdier pen that won't break would be fantastic. Great review!
Yes, I'm commenting to enter the draw. 🙃 Actually I cannot in good faith say I require a fountain pen. Diogenes etc. etc. But it would be nice have a a chromey shiny 2 toned pen that writes.
To be honest, I don't need this pen, and it does not excite me. But I've often come to love pens that didn't initially appeal to me (Pilot VP), and at times avoiding using pens that I thought I MUST have (L2K). I also promise to pass it on to a potential FP convert if I merit winning your contest and I find that I'm not using it. Cheers from Nova Scotia.
great review as always. I require the pen because I need a shiny pen :D No seriously a well designed functional edc pen is just what i need that will not break by looking at it.
I like the combo of pen reviews and philosophy! Thanks. I do not really need this pen. I have been looking for pens from different makers and I do not have one of these.
I need to win this pen Stephen because I am going on safari in Africa next week and I need this pen to write down all the stuff I need to take on the safari: -sun block -hat -ukulele -bow staff -pen( the one I won from watching SBRE BROWNS RUclips CHANNEL!, the best in the biz of course ) -book of matches…. Jude
Thank you, Professor, for a review of the kind of pen my recent "converts" to fountain pens might find on their own on line. Looks like a nice EDC, so, kudos to Scriveiner. My EDCs are better (Pilot E95s) and less expensive (Jinhao 82). So, sure. Okay!
I love fountain pens but I doubt anyone needs them. And that's taking into account all the benefits of handwriting from organizing your thoughts to remembering whatever you have to. (Chelov always had his actors start by writing out their lines to get them to sink in.) Since I was about 14 and Schafer put out an affordable, damn near indestructible fountain pen (or I discovered it in 1965) I have loved that alternative to ballpoint pen which I hated. Ballpoints would always have this ugly blob of ink on them; not to mention the need to press down, which I simply didn't feel at 14. Now at 72 I might appreciate that difference more. But in terms of ease of simply writing down word, roller balls and gel pens work just fine. That leaves fancy writing and just enjoying various inks, which I love beyond words. Well, trying to write with more flourishes at least. I love the elegance of some pens, the look and feel of Urushi fills me with boundless joy. But, no, I can't pretend I need them. I simply want them and at my age I can afford to get grubby somtimes. All in all, the freebie should go to someone else. I just couldn't resist burbling for a bit.
I require this pen as I am a Security Officer and would love the usefulness of its EDC size especially in a fountain pen nib that is refillable with my Fox Brown ink! Please pick me as the winner. Thank You.
Nice review, as always. I believe I require this pen because having a smaller one that can fit anywhere is better than having an oversized one that can barely fit in your pants (if you know what I mean).
Hello, I need this pen because I just bought a Traveler's company passport in Olive and it would look devine together. Also I bought this leather goodness for handwriting my novel. It's not going well, I need a pen to write it. THIS pen :) Have a beautiful day!
Hello, I am from the city of Xalapa, the capital of the state of Veracruz, Mexico, and although I know that this may possibly be an impediment to being the winner, I do not want to miss the opportunity to greet you and tell you that yesterday in Mexico is commemorated the day of the teacher and I am a teacher; so it would be a very good gift. Finally, I send you my greetings and thanks for learning so much about the world of fountain pens thanks to you. Hug from a distance
Real talk: I do NOT *require* this pen. I just really enjoy my fountain pens in large part thanks to you and would enjoy adding this to my little collection. I didn't even know about this brand before this video, so thanks for exposing me to yet another fountain pen! :-)

I “need” this EDC pen because I am sure that my daughter would love to have it and use it. Thanks.
I would love to try a Scrivener pen. Thanks for the review.
Thank You! I actually really liked the brass version and my hands are pretty small and feel perfectly fine with such small pens without posting them...I guess that is very simple and honest explanation why I'd love to have it.
I would like to try out a EDC fountain pen to see if I like them or not
I don't require this pen, but I'm curious to try a smaller pen to see if it would work for me.
Sciveiner was actually my first fountain pen. Din Din Boo Boo…loved your review as always. Also, love EDC pens since I’m a high school teacher and I’m always on the move! Cheers amigo!
Cheers!
Thanks for the review! Reason: I've started to carry around a REAL paper notebook and need an EDC pen.
Thoughtful review, as usual. I would enjoy this pen in my travel collection for its solid design and compact size.
Great review, as always.
My reason - I also like shiny things and these are shinier than anything I have already. My collection also does not yet include something made in UK. And I particularly appreciate things that simply work, anytime and every time.
I need an alternative to my Kaweco Brass Sport pocket pen, and one that can take a full size converter would be great.
I need the Pen because I need a notification from SBE Brown... who wouldn't?
My current EDC pens are an Ensso Piuma Pocket in titanium and a Gravitas pocket in stainless steel... I'm a sucker for metal EDC pocket pens (which is why I should get this Scriveiner).
Herr Klopp, you've won the pen! Could you please contact me with your address (there's a contact form on my website)?
I would love to have this pen because I do not hve one that screws in when posting
I wonder precisely how heavy and back heavy respectively they are. Thirty-three grams for the ”stainless steel” version is a figure I managed to figure out on their home page. They look like some great pens for EDC. I like how they post to be a decent size. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
Thanks for all the reviews! I need this pen because it would look great with my Lochby notebook case. Thanks
Thank you for the review. I’ve seen this brand on Amazon but never tried one. I love small pens, and this one looks intriguing.
I require this pen like I require another hole in my head. I am glad you are giving away the brass or bronze one. One of my EDC’s is the Kaweco brass sport and it will be interesting to see how they compare.

Hi Dr Brown! What's the most flexy nib you've used and how flexible would be too flexible for a nib?
Never heard of Scriveiner before, thanks for the review! Sounds really good how you you underlined the smoothness of the nib. Now I don't exactly need the pen, as I already have EDC pens, so let somebody else get it. Cheers!
How do you disassemble it i cant figure it out. I have the exact same pen
“ Ask and ye shall receive.” Sooooo, I am asking for this fountain pen, in the hope that I shall receive! 😅
I trust your honest review of the nice nib and the weight seems nice. I don't have a pen I carry around yet, and this seems like a great option.
I currently carry a Kaweco Sport with their classic clip attachment. Finally, King Charles III coronation pen found!
That pen would have a special place in my collection. The right new size for me. Thanks!
Very informative review, as always. It so happens that I do not own an EDC type pen. I tend to keep my pens at home usually, for fear of losing them. A small pen like this would be ideal for working in the library.
I am not detached when it comes to fountain pens. I will try any I can get my hands on.
Hi Stephen, can you please review the new Dolce Vita by Delta? Thank you!
its a good pen mate for daily use as you said in the video. would be a great daily writing instrument withount any fuss
I love these, they write so smoothly, way better than my cross or lamy 2000
Hi Stephen. Thank you for your amazing pen reviews. I would like to get this pen, because I do not have any Scriveiner pen and looks very interesting.

I do not own any pocket / edc pens. I don't know why. Perhaps none of them intrigued me. This one does.
Very good review.
Nice review, I hadn't heard about this brand yet. I require this pen because I am a sucker for small pens, and because it's a new brand for me.

I need this pen because I love fountain pens!
Hello, Dr. Brown. I enjoyed the review. I actually don't need the pen, but I still wanted to try my luck.
I haven't tried a Scriveiner pen and would really like a pen I'm happy to take out of the house 😁 Great video, as always.
I would like to have this pen as I trust your judgment. :) big fan of yours!!! Hi from Toronto!
I'm uncomfortable with how much I like the preemptive scoldings. 😂 In all seriousness, thanks for another great review. :)
I'd like this pen because I've never written with a schmidt nib and I just love metal fountain pens :)
I like pocket pens very much and a metal pen would serve the purpose of carrying it every day and in any type of attire. Luv to have it b
I use an EDC pen with a Traveler's Notebook. Currently a Kaweco Liliput.
cool review as always Doc. Why me you ask? Because while I keep flirting with the idea; I have yet to procure a fountain pen and this seems like a great and perhaps sensible place to start. Esp since its green, I love green and my first pen has to be green. Thanks a lot!
Flirtation is an expenditure of nothing much. Like the fountain pen you don't have.
I like writing, kind of journaling when I go hiking. So I need a pen that can withstand some abuse and these pen certainly fits the bill.
I don’t need the pen but I would give it to a friend who carries a pen in their pocket most days and a rugged pen is something they really like and enjoy.
I love to switch subtitles on in your reviews. 10:12 "I always carry pens in the pancakes"... :)
And I do not need this pen, as I tend to avoid metal sections (exception for Diplomat Aero and Ensso XS Ti, but these two are so special), so good luck to anyone who wins it!
Ik bezit nog geen pocket-vulpen, maar zou hem zeker gebruiken
This brand is new to me. Why I require it? Because I don't have any real British pens (Parkers made in France don't count) and I do carry my pen in my purse. A sturdier pen that won't break would be fantastic.
Great review!
Hi, I love your reviews! I need this pen because I don't have an edc anything and my life will be better if I win.
Reason: I have a fresh bottle of SBRE Brown and I think it would be smashing in that pen!!
I need this pen because I want it… 😅
Hi, I am searching for a pen to match with my Akkerman SBREBROWN ink and this edc pen would be perfect.
Greetings to all of the fountain pen community
I require that pen not only because it looks amazing, but also because of a compulsive drive to own everything related to things I like.
Yes, I'm commenting to enter the draw. 🙃
Actually I cannot in good faith say I require a fountain pen.
I need an EDC more suited to rugged situations.
I need to win this pen Stephen because I am going on safari in Africa next week and I need this pen to write down all the stuff I need to take on the safari:
-sun block
-hat
-ukulele
-bow staff
-pen( the one I won from watching SBRE BROWNS RUclips CHANNEL!, the best in the biz of course )
-book of matches…. Jude
An EDC pen which has a clip and a converter. What is not to like? Oh, and it writes too. \o/
I don't need the pen, but it would be cool to get one.
Thank you, Professor, for a review of the kind of pen my recent "converts" to fountain pens might find on their own on line. Looks like a nice EDC, so, kudos to Scriveiner. My EDCs are better (Pilot E95s) and less expensive (Jinhao 82). So, sure. Okay!

All in all, the freebie should go to someone else. I just couldn't resist burbling for a bit.
My reason is because engineering school sucks balls and a cool etc pen would make it suck slightly less
I need this pen because it is pretty
I need this pen to carry with me to work on my bicycle
A pocket pen is great for urban sketching!
oh very nice review, I wolud like to have a brass pen, never try one :) 💞
I nerd this pen because I do not have enough pens, 50 are not enough. I really like the chrome pen
My friend asked me to write my name on a napkin in a restaurant yesterday but I couldn't because I didn't have a pen!
I don't need the pen, just wanted to say I Loved the ending.
