I have found one video I haven’t watched yet. This is a great idea. Love the use of the containers for dwellings in the hive. Ready Player One is a great film too. 👍🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻. On your part two now.
I came across this video while looking for some ideas for Kill Team terrain, and you've immediately become one of my favorite terrain channels! I have the same mindset (or, on occasion, problem) of putting far too much thought into things that most people wouldn't really think too hard about, because it matters in my mind. Plus, as someone who only got into tabletop games (especially Warhammer) fairly recently, early 2016, as I was finishing up High School, watching videos from people who have been in this community longer than I've been on this Earth. Cheers from Florida!
Magarathea huh? That rings a bell...that wouldn't have to be some cheeky Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy reference would it? :-) Love the build. Especially her house. Looks very neat!
just stumbled across this vid and might i say this is fantastic stuff! recently started a modular necromunda board myself and been pulling my hair out umm'in and arr'in on how to lay it out. But this is giving me so much inspiration. keep up the great work bud and i'll certainly be following all the progress!
I love making diorama's and this stuff looks seriously cool. I have 1 of 2 display cabinets half set up with diorama's for my 40K Tau army, but unfortunately, i don't have a lot of space in the house. I think should i ever live to a ripe old age i'd wind up as one of those old blokes with a model railway, but it'd be a 40K underhive setting instead of some corny Yorkshire village most of them seem to be.
Great use of that idea 😃. Strings of wiring bundles is a small detail but can help hide the crimes for your LED lighting like you’re doing. I think you’re next tile needs to be a scrap yard type thing. You could use the 40K crane and swap the claw out for a cack made electromagnet (with attached scrap) and then a large melting vat for the scrap. Be a good excuse to use the large furnace to power the vat. 2 of your shops have a place to buy stuff for their shops too. Makes the connections for a little ‘community’ between the shops.
Great videos 👍. I really like the "thinking out loud" delivery too. Really helps! It's great to see how your builds evolve. Glad I smashed the follow. New phrase in my house is "DIGGING THROUGH THE CACK!"
Hi Dean - Thanks for your comment. I am really enjoying making these videos - I do the thinking out loud bit anyway, I thought I might as well record it. Sometimes you see some models in photos or videos and wonder 'How one earth did they get to that?' This whole hobby is one giant narrative to me, it's great to be able to share it. PS I am seriously condsidering have Digging Through The Cack T shirts made:0)
i'm well chuffed Ubiquitous Orlock made an appearance this episode. Seriously, this is a well thought out tile indeed, with all the variables of how it'll interconnect with the other tile and the road configuration option too. With the container as a basis of a dwelling or shop, perhaps consider increasing its width in future with your own substituted broader flooring and ceiling, instead of relying on the skinny floor space the container usually provides when assembled normally. That way you can have a larger container hab(itat) to play with for interior ideas. Having a deck chair int he underhive is hilarious, bathing in the dim electrical haze before the next blackout. I really enjoyed your description of your original Necromunda hive topography concept in the 90s of a Pit-Sea, Pier-Town and Thor's Rock. Awesome, this series is becoming a weekly feature for me. I trust much BSG was watched too? Carry On Digging In The Cack!!
It's funny how a little throw away comment becomes a thing. Ubiquitous Orlock is a very handy fella. Finished Season 3 of BSG (which a good thing as it's all a bit too Goddy for me) I am enjoying recreating that 90s set of idea, I am in a much better place to bring it to the table these days. Then it was mostly generic scenery. I am loving theming stuff.
Love it! Mech shop! Your mention of the Arbites made me wonder if a Arbites Station (maybe burned out by a arsonist?) was on the horizon? Maybe with a cop with a "great bushy beard" )
There is indeed. If you watch the First part of the Sump Slum Stack I plan the whole board. Although the whole plan might not survive as I already have other ideas:0)
By the way...the 40K Ork Mek Shop, loads of bits for your project, if nobody hasn't already recommended. I got that for a similar piece of terrain. The Ork symbols come off pretty easy with a dremel.
Another awesome video sir, the reason the sector mech pillars and ZM bits don't line up perfectly is you need to flip the tops upside down on the ZM bits and slot them inside, then when put something on top it sits still. If that makes sense.
You prolly dont care at all but does someone know of a trick to get back into an instagram account? I was stupid lost my login password. I would love any assistance you can give me
@Shawn Jay I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Great video dude, loving the development, for additional detail you could take a few hot-wheel style toy cars and their wheels and engines to have laying around, cheap but effective 🤙🤙
I know this is a very late comment but....The reason your Sector Mechanicus walkways aren't lining up with the Zone Mortalis walkways is you've not assembled the Zone Mortalis pillars correctly - if you are going for more than one pillar high you're supposed to flip the insert piece over between the bottom pillar and the top one - that lifts the total height of the two pillars by a few mm, which will make it work out fine. Of course your method means you save the inserts for recycling into later projects! Really enjoying seeing the project and watching someone NOT just assembling GW bits (if nothing else - how can they afford it?). Best of luck with your progress.
What a hidden gem of a channel you have here. So glad I see someone sharing your vid in Warhammer group. Looking forward to watching the rest of your catalogue. Also side note was you working at Southend when GorkaMorka was released?
Just found your channel. Well done. What bit did you use on top of the Zone Mortalis wall section to fill it in and make it more of a walk area? I like how you have ladders up and have turned it more into a walkable area.
Have you seen the cool necromuda rogue doc GW just announced. Would go nicely with the med Bay. Or maybe this doc might specialise in more extreme upgrades? Ha ha
Diggin' it. Liking the curlicue sort of walkways. I do note, however, if you close off the end of her house, the ladder/grating section sort of leads to nowhere? Will there be more attached, out that way?
I am sure there will be more out the other side of that wall and beyond. That ladder is really there to access the top layer. Sealing both ends will restrict play and photo ops, so I will probably leave it open.
@@magratheabuilderofworlds7141 This is a primo video. I love it. Thanks for sharing the process and the fudging around coming up with a workable idea! That was awesome! Don't Panic! (in large friendly letters)

I'm watching all of these vids to get ideas for my own Necro board. Also, I am 'yoinking' DIGGING THROUGH THE CACK for myself.
we all do it
I love that balcony! Totally adding that to my corner of the hive
