This method does actually work but there's a few things to consider. First off, the soles do need to be thoroughly cleaned to actually flush out any dirt and debris otherwise the salon care 40 can't actually begin to reverse the oxidation, secondly, this method takes a lot of time and patience. You're going to be doing multiple sessions over the course of anywhere from a day to a few weeks. Lastly, if you live somewhere hot or are doing this on a very hot day you have to keep your sessions short and check on your shoes periodically, the heat can activate the glue on the soles and cause minor to severe sole separation. I think this video was dope because he was genuine about the process but the outdoor method takes A LOT of patience.
@@raymonetv6762 the sun does have to be out. It doesn't have to be an extremely sunny day but obviously the more sunlight that's out the better your session goes. Just be careful if you're using the outdoor method. The sun heats up that glue and can cause sole separation. Just remember to keep your sessions short and to do multiple sessions. It's a process man. It takes a few attempts before you start seeing results. Just make sure you're applying whatever it is that you're using onto the souls and wrapping it with Saran wrap.
It worked great on my Foamposites. I leave mine in the sun for about 35-45 min each session. Ill do about 4-4 sessions in a day. They got super icy in 2 days. Also better if you use a thinner coat on the soles. Enough so that they just look wet.
What about indoors? It’s winter and we get sun but it’s just very cold. Will I be able to use the sunlight from my window from inside for whitening sessions?
READ BEFORE TRYING TO RE-ICE: I’m on my second session of 5hrs each in the sun on my 6 rings space jams and I don’t see a difference. I’m gonna do 4 more sessions. but I would have to say so far I am no impressed and don’t see any results at all. I think what people are seeing is that it leave a white haze to the surface of icy soles. The white haze makes it look like it was improving the icy soles. But, after saying fuck it. Let me try bleach on a qtip. The application of the bleach took away the white haze and the icy soles look 99% as yellow as they did before I started this re-icing project.
h8ncars when i did it i just reapplied when it dried up. Which took around 50 minutes then washed them with a brush and put more cream back on it using my finger, kinda like when u cleaning of a game with a wipe in a circle after bout 5 hours total its was back looking like after the first wear
Never use bleach to try to whiten shoes unless you dilute the shit out of it!! Bleach will make the shoes more yellow by causing more oxidation. The reason the Salon Care developer works is because it’s basically just Hydrogen Peroxide, just concentrated. You can make a paste out of regular hydrogen peroxide and baking soda and add some white vinegar about a tablespoon, and it will work too.
Salon care works i would recommend though an icebox for you can see results because its a little bit more consistent then the sun and iceing shoes usually take me round 2-3 days so yeah
Can you remove hair dye from icey soles? I have the same cool Greys and got them stained on the sides by stepping on Beijing the beard and hair dye. You think the sole cleaners would take it off? It went like inside of the sole and everything
UV Rays is what triggers the change. You can buy a light and make a box and do it that way. It's actually slower but you don't have to be concerned about glue separation because of the heat.
I’m pretty sure there is a easier way to get the color back just don’t know how The same way someone figured this process did it there’s always more than one way to do something
It matters for how long you can do your sessions 30-60 minutes is the recommended for each session you can get like 6-8 done in one day depending on the time you have
I remember when u first dropped this vid bro time do fly and looking back u did everything right and i wish u woulda got the results u wanted but it depends to get on the soles because you know why i had my metalic 5 piss yellow and my concords piss yellow and i did both at the same time woth salon care 40 the wierd thing is my metalic 5 got icy asff compared to the 11 and also on air force 1 white soles what i found out u only need 45 min and thier back to white .... It just depends bro i hope u good im about to get back on it to do my 6s .
I use the EdgarKream now, seems to work pretty decent. I was using the 40 cream alone with the sun and started to noticing seperation on the carbon so I built an ice box.
Yeah i want to try a new brand, but i did recently icy up some air force 1 tomlinsons and they came out perfect. They werent that yellow to begin with but i think thats when its most effective
@@gammas880 help me out with any tips you got dn bouta build an ice box it’s 105+ where I live and I noticed a tiny bit of sole separation in the 20-25 mins they were left out

Achieving success is a process and requires planning, managing risk, analysis etc and then implementation. 10 years of oxidation and it better be iced within a few sessions otherwise it’s not worth it??
Well i think they were way too yellow to begin with, i did it the way any other person would do it just to check if it works without putting too much work in
Not really Depends on your area and your local beauty supply store imma license Barber and sneakerhead and i was buying it prior to being a barber and i send people who are not barbers or cosmos to get it all the time
Good thing my ex is a licensed cosmetologist , I got her to get 4 bottles of the 50 volume. to me it works better with an indoor setup. I use a growstar grow light and it works better than the sun to me, less heat so I don't have to worry about any sole separation
This process also destroys the grip on the soles...so unless you’re going to buy sole protectors...I would just dye them or rock them pissy yellow...it’s not that deep...
The Gammas it works bro you have to apply a stronger coat and it doesn’t ruin grip my kicks have held up just fine and I’ve got results using 40 volume cream

audio a lil bit messed up throughout...my bad
Inside set up and taking soles off the shoe is the best way.

There’s a channel called reshoevn8r and the guy Vick says that salon care 40 could take up to 2-3 weeks to get back to icy

Ice box or just get aluminum foil and tape it to the inside of a carbord box.
What about Legends? Would it turn the blue sole clear? Or just remove yellowing?
I think they would remove yellowing but not worth 3+ sessions imo

Damian Johnson it’s not the temperature it’s the sun so if it’s sunny you’re good, but if it’s really yellow it could take up to 2-3 weeks
Can i use foil
Does it work on white patten leather?
will it not cause sole sep for the rubber on the bottom? the blue one

Yo yo Gee. Sheet dont work?! Know what im a saying.
Did you put ice in them ?
Has anybody tried removing the clear sole and cleaning it that way and then bond it back onto the shoe
djmac productions That’s a bit extreme. Don’t create more work than you need to.
The soles are yellow from oxidation, which you cant clean. You need a strong deoxidizer to penetrate the soles and not just the surface
Will 20vol care work
Hunter FA thats too weak, just dont even try it
The way he talk he don’t lie about shit!Im trying this today💯Thanks
My shoes looked like that it didn’t look like I was getting results but I did it without the plastic rap and it worked better

Breezy Joan id recommend salon care 40 because sole sauce and angelus sole bright is basically salon care 40

Does the temperature outside matter?
Yes

Try cleaning them first, and let them sit for 2 WEEKS. Not "a few hour sessions".
2 weeks is a long time man, at that point is it really worth it?
You were suppose to add bleaching powder to it
How long is each session
30 or 45min per session
I live in a building where the sun don’t shine much can i use a heat lamp brodie ?
West Pippen its not really gonna work like that
You might have to go and go to a park and just watch em dry, if there’s really no sun where you live
