You have to be careful with the heat of the sun, you can put ice packs inside the shoe to help with offsetting the heat of direct sun. I did have to apply more than one session for myself. You do have to be careful with the pods cause you can take away the traction from poor application.

Id recommend just removing the soles and icing them that way and just re cement them once you're satisfied. Youll def need a uv box setup and 24 hr sessions for actual practicality. The sun isnt practical to get significant iceyness and is really only good for easy removal of the soles from its heat since that's what you want for best outcome.
Just pulled my 72-10s out of storage and the one shoe that wasn’t double wrapped in paper has a slight yellow discoloration 🤯 sucks because they are noticeably different….guessing it’s because the one not wrapped in the paper was exposed to more air. I put a oxy absorber in the box now, and gonna cop some sole sauce and give it a try. Also gona try and clean up some used 11s thanks for your video!

Joe Kyser the main source of the heat comes directly from the sunlights rays beaming down onto the soles. But you do not have to worry about the surface temperature of the soles reaching above 125F on a cold day. Just be sure to monitor it just in case.

Stuff works. First time restoring and my boy sent me some concords. They're a lot more yellow than these in the video. Rn I'm doing sunlight and uv light. On my 3rd session working wonders. Maybe 40 hrs total it'll be iced out again. Would def recommend this sole sauce. One I don't gotta prep like crazy and worry about color fade. Only made for mid sole and soles. Use gloves though. This shit burns lmfao I thought my paint brush was giving me splinters.

Soles becoming brittle and cracking is mainly due to age and poor storage conditions. Rubber Soles require oxygen and can dry out and crack if stored improperly.

Apply tire dressing on soles/rubbers and you prevent the oxidation (yellowing). That same yellowing is why tire dressing was created.

Bigdaddy 59 each sole restoration time varies from sole to sole. This pair took me 9 session. So I guess you can try to estimate from there.

Space Magic I do not recommend using it on red soles like bred 11s. It may make the red brighter than it should be.

The sauce is effective for up to 72 hours. So every 2-3 days it will need a fresh new application.

Shakie 42 they’re supposed to have an icy blue tint for those soles, but yes if they’re worn they can turn a bit yellowed.

It can discolor the black patent leather. But it works on other colors of patent leather such as white and grey.
