A few things: 1. Don't spend money on fancy sneaker de-yellowing products, just go into your local beauty supply store and get volume 40 (or higher) creme developer. 2. If you're going to use a blade to cut excess masking tape, for the love of God, take your sweet time and be careful AF so you don't cut your shoes. Sounds like it would be obvious, but these videos ALWAYS make this step seem like an absolute breeze. Also, *never* ever use masking tape on suede. You will absolutely, positively fuck up your kicks and be kicking yourself over it. 3. Whenever you are working with solvents like acetone (or whatever) don't fuck around with your skin and lungs. Wear some gloves, and make sure your work area is well ventilated. At least open an effin' window for fucks sake. Add the ice back to your icy soled sneakers, but be safe about it, and take a few precautions if you're going to fuck around with solvents. Small detail work with cotton swabs might maybe, possibly be okay, but I'd wear gloves anyway. 4. For the light, you're going to want a good, super bright UV grow light. You should be able to get it from Home Depot, or any other comparable store. The link to buy a light in this video's description is -- as of this writing -- quite dead. Leads to nowhere. ordered a bottle btw
Just got my set up today , purchased the ts600 and the light isn’t red like in the video, did I purchase the wrong one?
Nope, the TS600 is the newer (more efficient) updated version of the light in the video! The new light is white/yellow so you definitely got the right one!
how many hours are recommended in a session? I know you said to shoot for 24 hours but how many hours are needed to get the best results? Because right now I do 3 days sessions
24 hours per session.
