I just don't understand the ideology that "oh we have our own talent so we don't need anybody else's"talent is talent..just gotta appreciate it .just look at this video for example,we have two people who don't even understand the language yet they get mesmerized by what they are hearing.i just don't understand Why we have to divide everything?I feel like patriotism is kind of blocking a lot of people's mind in the east. Patriotism is good but too much of it can turn toxic We can't move forward till we get rid of these grudges and open up our minds.

@@rashidzaidi5211 What is English for Qawali? Definition of song in dictionary is “a short poem or other set of words set to music or meant to be sung.” So calling it a song is not gonna give it lesser of a meaning or importance, it touches the heart. These words like song, qawali etc are all constructs of us human beings, So calling it a song will not change its impact on others. It is a feeling that comes from what he has sung, call it a song, call it a qawali or call it a dua the meaning and the felling you get from it will remain the same!

There are all respectable personalities and we should respect them and try to learn about their lives beside making cartoon fun of them. Lyrics of tajdar_e_Haram in English.......
    ...
Let a life of peace and contentment be my fate
May my ship never sink even in troubled waters
    Let this be my fate
It's not that heaven would not be acceptable to me, but
O Writer of Destinies, let Medina be my fate
O king of the holy sanctuary
Bless us with your merciful gaze o king of the holy sanctuary
So that our days of woe may turn for the better
O patron of the poor, what would the world say
If we return empty-handed from your door?
O king of the holy sanctuary
We have no one to call our own, we are stricken with grief
We come and cry for justice at your door
Please spare us a merciful glance, or we will
Die at your threshold, crying your name
O king of the holy sanctuary
..What should I tell you, O Prince of Arabia
You already know what is in my heart
In your separation, O you who bear the title of the Untaught One
Our sleepless nights are so hard to bear
In your love, I have lost all sense of consciousness
How long will I remain in this state of unconsciousness?
Cast a stolen glance towards me sometimes
Turn your ear to my words sometimes
No one has ever returned empty-handed from your door
Each seeker has returned with his desires fulfilled
    For your sorrowful lover
Come, devoted lovers, let's go to Medina!
    Let's go to Medina!
    Come, let's go to Medina!
    Let's go this very month
The wonders of His Glory are glitteringly manifest in Medina
The ardent gaze knows boundless fulfilment in Medina
There's neither sorrow of life nor fear of death in Medina
We will perform the prayer of Love in Medina
Clear and direct is the path to God in Medina.

@@linkbombchu168 I agree that it’s mainly desi muslims that use it but the origin of qawali comes from sufism so it doesn’t really have a race. Also, Qawali was originally sang in the persian language. Plus you can’t fully disregard other cultures from using it, for example the call and response technique is used in many African music so you can’t say Somalians don’t use it, it’s just they have another name for it which isn’t qawali. I’m not disagreeing with you by the way I’m just say that many muslim of different cultures have similar music because of sufism not just desi muslims.

Atif x 10 when he is singing this Naat. It’s because of passion for religion, Atif goes above and beyond. Allah blessed him with great talent

Bro coke studio songs have captions...why dont you let captions go along with the song?

    • @kirathekingkiller69

That's because as vocal coaches they are try to only focus on the control of their voices and the variety of ways they use them because the subtitle will distract their honest review of the vocal tones. I know it's frustrating for us who know the song but they are looking at it academically.

@@kirathekingkiller69 whereas we would like them to look at it holistically. They're missing out 70% of the song by ignoring the meaning
