- King Charles met former footballer David Beckham privately last week but was too “busy” to see his son Prince Harry.
“David Beckham waited in line for over 12 hours to pay respects to Queen Elizabeth II after she passed,” Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield told Sky News Australia host Rita Panahi’s in The King’s defence.
“Prince Harry refused to see her days before her death.
“I think that’s important to point out, that the Beckhams clearly have much more respect for the monarchy than the Markles.”
David Beckham did more for Queen and Country than Harry ever did, and showed her more respect.

I Canadian. And slowly losing respect for the current King, not monarchy as a whole. He and parliament have not acted to remove royal titles. I don’t care how many titles King gives to William or other family members. It’s not enough. He can’t make a difficult decision in stripping royal titles from Mutt and Jeff. He’s avoiding issue. Using his illness to hide behind and get sympathy. I don’t fall for that because a dying Queen had to painfully strip Andrew. But she did her duty. Charles has not shown action, he just glows in the glory and praise. What good is criticizing that couple. They will keep doing it, go to other countries, they are almost pretender working royals

Yet press keeps pounding him , which King likes because takes pressure off him removing title. Shows his hypocrisy thro and through. It still better late then never to remove titles, but now King will always have stain of inaction , not making a difficult decision. Because of that other family members have been hurt by press, he didn’t even defend Camilla right away. Press is at fault for not putting pressure on, instead praise king to the skies, while at same time complaining about Mutt and Jeff. Using sympathy card as another excuse because of his health because King can hide bey it. Well the Queen didn’t do I don’t buy that. Mi g is a se so mind compassionate man he’s not a bad person but he’s thinking only if himself and his son, not what’s best for the monarchy and his people. No I don’t like him as Ling. Even if he strips couple tomorrow , in my eyes , he took to long to act. So the press, parliament, and King to blame for letting this farce continue. And it will keep happening. King doesn’t even issue a statement at least saying M/ H not officiall working royals. So that tells me I. My own opinion he secretly approves. And Camilla who should be chastising King, maybe she has and he’s stubborn, but she has power to put her foot down with husband. Does nothing either, they are both using situation to get sympathy. Harry and Meghan maybe villains , by Charles a s Camilla most likely exploiting to gain stmt. I know sounds harsh, just my own opinion. I could be wrong, but if there is a good reason why King won’t remove titles he should issue a statement to British people at least explaining why. They have been so good and respectful to this King and Queen and more importantly forgiven by people for their past mistakes. Something they haven’t shown Andrew. They owe the people at least an honest explanation. But he has done nothing . Bull wallowing in praise and publicity. That cancer hospital visit made me angry, should have been private. Smacked of another publicity stunt. Now Nigeria, king does nothing. Only what’s in it for him. That’s why I’m so angry at this King. At least issue a statement about H/ M , s status, if he wants then as working royals then say so. But he knows US won’t approve will send Harry home. The hypocrisy is incredible. Leaving American s and govern to deal with Mutt and Jeff, and if Harry becomes American citizens he will have to give up titles, another insult because the. Harry and Meg can say they gave up title s. Leaving King agat free of responsibility. I’ve always loved Monaco, but also know they are human and have made mistakes. But overall I saw them as good decent well meaning pey serving the people. Wealth and privilege was something they were born into, they can’t help that. No different from Kennedy s, Rockefeller s , and other wealthy found they try to give back. But this King has really abgered me. His health as I said is no excuse. If he can still function as King he can make decisions.
