  • Refugees, asylum seekers, migrants, and internally displaced people: We might have heard these words before, but what do they mean? And what circumstances could push someone to leave their home? #withoutborders #refugeestories #displaced
This #WorldRefugeeDay, it’s important to remember this message from Weednyer Jaeson, cultural mediator for Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in Mexico: “There should be more empathy to understand that the reason people are leaving is not because they want to. It’s a necessity.”

Ty Doctors Without Borders for all that u do 🙏🏼. I just have one question: why do refugees/migrants/displaced persons go country-shopping? Per the UN Refugee Convention u need to travel to the nearest safe country… NOT the US, Canada, or Europe! 🤬
