I'm really impressed with you guys. I trained these throws in judo with a gi, but I've always written off (yoko) tomoe nage as throws that are impossible without the gi. However, it has always buffled me why sumi gaeshi (close body knee sacrifice throw, kinda) are so seldom seen in no-gi grappling/MMA, since it is a quite good defence against double legs/morote gari.
Thanks for your comment. I agree with you about Sumi Gaeshi-it's a versatile throw/transition to groundfighting. Thanks for watching our channel and please tell others about us.
if you ever feel like it, could you make an extended version of nogi tomoe nage? ive seen a nogi yoko tomoe nage from a pinch headlock variation before in bjj which seems very strong, and a yoko tomoe nage from front headlock, i think there is alot of potential with those variations.

Right? I have a wrestling buddy who does it all the time. Learned it from his coach.
This is badass. I can’t wait until my coach teaches me the tomoe nage
Thanks for your comment! I think you will find this technique effective and useful!

No, it's not wrong. It is Tomoe Nage as a transition into Juji Gatame. It is not just one or the other, it is both.

Brazilians are damn funny pronoucing japanese words too :v
