Infrastructure is very okay okay. Roads are very narrow. This is not what you expect from a capital city or a city that is counted in top 5 in India. Lucknow looks better than Chennai.

Skyscrapers ain't the right definition to decide a city is developed or not, Geneva city of Switzerland which looks like a village with 0 skyscrapers, but it's highly developed and richer than all Asian cities.
Uttar Pradesh is 2nd poorest state in India and Tamil Nadu is 2nd richest state in India. So no comparison. Chennai is home for automobile manufacturing, Cinema industry, University hub, Health care system and Lucknow is for nothing.
Literacy rate of Chennai is 10 times higher than Lucknow, more clean and well organized than Lucknow.
It's a shame how you compare a tier-3city Lucknow with Tier-1 city like Chennai.
Just deciding by watching a single RUclips video, first visit Chennai then talk.
Tamil Nadu is one of the top tourist destinations and attracts many foreigners and Uttar Pradesh is famous for it's fith, poor and undevelopement.

Chennai is so overrated. This city is like a Village this is coastal city of india but no any high rise buildings. Gurgaon And noida are 100000x times better than this DMK ' Destroyed City .

There is no skyscrapers in Chennai cause of the Marines south division has sensor signals which can be affected due to buildings... So Chennai spreads evenly instead of one big circle like Mumbai or Bangalore
