Good to see you back. PVC, not ABS (white not black). I would never have thought to try to put a threaded hole lengthwise in PVC pipe. Aesthetic is already an adjective, no need to add the -cal ending to make it one. I do like that I could actually read the time without decoding, or touching anything (unlike some of your other clocks). Dial indicator is cool, but I don't have even one, so not sacrificing one to build a clock.
The motor moves down by .1 in 12 hours and then at 12:00 it winds all the way back. Resets to 12:00 then moves the pointer in one hour increments until it gets to the actual time which it reads from the real time clock inside.
I got that motor for $25 on eBay. I just heard from the manufacturer that new ones run over $300 - so I figure it would be too pricey to make a kit and they don't show up used much.
You always amaze me with the fabulous clocks that you make.
Thanks, this is the first clock I have made for me to keep. The other ones were collaborative efforts.
Awsome work!
Thanks!

Maybe I missed it. What happens after the indicator hits the end of its range?

I would like a kit, but it would end up on my To do list, and my hears would be wondering what the heck did the old man get this for?
Yes, I get that. But I'm hoping some other people will be interested. It would be nice to see what they come up with.
I think it would be interesting to have two side by side, one for hour and one for minutes.
Yes, I considered that. But somehow I just like the simple clean hour hand.
This is cool. I want a kit. How much?
It's too soon to say. I'm waiting to see how much interest I get and then I'll do the research to price everything out.
@@GuyMarsdenMakesStuff Sounds awesome!!!
I’m interested in a kit as well
