Japan Missing Nishida's top form badly. I remembered In previous year's World Cup Nishida hits 5 continuous points against Canada while serving and attacking
This is what Canada is capable of after missing it's best hitter, Maar since the second match. Slater was a beast filling in for another beast, Vernon. Canada is four deep in the middle with Vigrass, Swarc, Van Berkel, and Jansen-Van Dorn. They're also deep in the LS with Maar, Hoag and the captain, Perrin. Let's continue to get better and get ready for the Olympics. Go Canada!
@@volleyballworld Agree they need to find a way to play top teams tough down the stretch. They lack killer instincts and mental toughness when the going gets tough ie when the score is 20-20 for example. Maybe just experience as they have a fairly young team.
Do you have any idea why Canada uses Marshall as a libero instead of Pereira? Marshall doesn’t seem that good at reception and Pereira looked pretty good against Brazil. Bann also said that he was super fast.
@@clanmitts I totally agree. Hoag has used Marshall at libero in the past quite often instead of the Pereira. I'd like Pereira to get some experience as supposed to Marshall who is not a libero. Marshall is nowhere as quick for sure nor better at service reception. He is in no man's land as a player whose natural position is OH but is way too short at 6'3 and way to big for libero.
Something has been off with Japan the last few matches, especially this one. They have not been their usual tenacious selves who would absolutely not let the ball touch the floor no matter what. Something is off with their game & I hope they fix it ASAP I MISS THEM T-T
Japan really needs to improve their communication and teamwork or more like the connection but it's fine they still have atleast a month before Olympics so I hope even with that little time they'll improve and learn from their mistakes this vnl because I'm really rooting for them to atleast win a bronze at Tokyo
Japan needs to first focus on making the quarter finals. Even though they are in a weaker pool, they still have to beat one of Poland, Italy, Canada, and Iran.
I will always have faith for Japan's VB team both men and women. However, in men's team seem to required a quick and explosive OP player like Nishida to create more gap between blockers. Otherwise, OH will always have to deal at least with 2 giant blockers. Get well soon Nishida and keep fighting Japan teams.

The coach is trying to shuffle the roster to blur the lines between Team A and Team B just like how Brazil does, but it’s too sudden. They don’t realize they don’t have that luxury yet. Hoping they bounce back in the Olympics.

You have to speak fast in real time when commentating every single action. Sometimes, your tongue gets tied. Your brain processes the thoughts fast, but when it is relayed to the mouth, things can get complicated when your brain processes multiple things at the same time. But you're too stupid to understand that.

The training for this should be more well organized and prepared on her side. Moreover, its not the first time her pronouncing names so poorly. Since week one, she’s been mispronouncing a lot of names. I guess she did improve in some part, but its still crucial to get her one only job right.

I think the problem with Japan's play style is that it requires a lot of moving parts. I mean that like, since most of them aren't that tall compared to the competition, they don't really have a lot of options with hitting over the block, so they have to go around or run tempo plays with multiple decoys

The scores wasn't that bad considering all the disadvantages that team JP had. Their exposure and games against strong teams for america, and europe really improves their play and i think that is their reason in playing there. I really wish my country team would be also able to do that too

I'll list a couple: Making the Olympic quarterfinals in 2016 (Japan didn't even qualify) Getting 3rd place in the 2017 World League(This is Basically Nations League. Japan failed to win what is now known as the Challenger cup) Getting 7th in the 2018 Nations League(Japan Placed 12th) Getting 9th in the 2019 Nations League(Japan Placed 10th)
Why sub in Nishida for only a few points in the first set, if he really did sprain his ankle that means he should not be playing at all, if his ankle is fully healed then play him the whole set or atleast for an entire set. If his ankle is not healed then playing on it will only extend the recovery time
I'm Japanese but I was a bit disappointed about this game. It was the best member but they messed up serve many times which has been said they really need improve asap. Also Ishikawa hasn't been well this tournament like he used to be, Nishida got injury and the team got new members. I know the coaches are deciding the Olympic member very hard. So hopefully everything get better at Olympic and I'm looking forward seeing they reach out the higher place.
i wonder if japan knows that you can't win all your games off the back of one good player. canada has a stacked team, and they're young too. you can't win if you expect one person to carry lol.
am i the only one who misses the old commentator? they were just better and didn't overshadow the play by talking too loud and was better and pronouncing the players name, and showed a lot of knowledge of the teams and the game
I feel like ishikawa does a lot less pipes? Or is it that less of his pipes are being turned into points therefore not making the highlights? I can only see the highlights sadly. Theres a lot more usage in their middle blockers it seems like.

I'm Japanese but I was a bit disappointed about this game. It was the best member but they messed up serve many times which has been said they really need improve asap.
Also Ishikawa hasn't been well this tournament like he used to be, Nishida got injury and the team got new members. I know the coaches are deciding the Olympic member very hard. So hopefully everything get better at Olympic and I'm looking forward seeing they reach out the higher place.

am i the only one who misses the old commentator? they were just better and didn't overshadow the play by talking too loud and was better and pronouncing the players name, and showed a lot of knowledge of the teams and the game

I feel like ishikawa does a lot less pipes? Or is it that less of his pipes are being turned into points therefore not making the highlights? I can only see the highlights sadly. Theres a lot more usage in their middle blockers it seems like.
