In today’s video, we will talk about the top 10 dangerous road vehicles. How dangerous are these vehicles? And how many death rates are associated with each car? All this will be uncovered in this video. We will discuss cars like the Nissan Altima and Chevrolet Spark that have a fatality rate of over 100. So, let's get into the video and find out more.
    10.Chevrolet Sonic:
Between 2018 and 2021, there were 107 fatalities per million registered vehicles experienced by Chevrolet Sonic. It has a top speed of 125 mph. Despite the Sonic's positive attributes as an affordable and enjoyable car, smaller and less expensive vehicles statistically pose a greater risk of accidents.
    9.Chevrolet Camaro Coupe:
With a concerning 110 deaths per million registered vehicles recorded between 2018 and 2021, the Chevrolet Camaro Coupe raises alarms due to its sporty design and high-performance capabilities. The Chevrolet Camaro Coupe accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds, death rate for the coupe version of the Camaro stands at more than double the average, while the convertible version is slightly higher at 113.
    8.Kia Forte:
With a fatality rate of 111 deaths per million registered vehicles during 2018-2021, the Kia Forte, may lack optimal protection in accidents due to its smaller size and fewer advanced safety features.
The Forte's 0-60 time ranges from 6.7 to 8.2 seconds, and its top speed for the 2023 model is 123 miles per hour. Despite its attractive features, such as a manual transmission, affordable pricing the Kia Forte is not the top choice for a compact car. The safety ratings for the 2023 model are average, with a "Good" score in all IIHS crashworthiness tests except for side-impact, where it received a "Poor" rating.
    7.Nissan Altima:’
Recording a fatality rate of 113 deaths per million registered vehicles during 2018-2021, the 2019 Nissan Altima gathers attention for its straightforward and classic design. The 2021 model of the Nissan Altima shows a top speed of 130 mph. Known for its unassuming character, the Altima provides an optional all-wheel-drive and stands out with its unique top engine choice, the variable-compression VC-Turbo engine. While the idea of this engine may spark interest, its practical application can be somewhat unconventional in real-world scenarios.
    6. Hyundai Accent (2012-2017)
The Hyundai Accent sedan is associated with a fatality rate of 116 deaths per million registrations. In multiple-vehicle accidents, the fatality rate is 85 deaths per million.
The Hyundai Accent sedan has received an overall poor rating from the IIHS. The structure and safety cage of the vehicle are assessed as poor, posing a risk of severe injuries to the driver's hip, thigh, legs, and feet in the event of a crash.
In specific crash tests, the dummy used in evaluations received minimal support from the airbag, and poor seatbelt positioning led to the dummy's head making contact with the front panel.
    5.Kia Rio (Sedan):
With a fatality rate of 122 deaths per million registered vehicles, the sedan version of the Kia Rio stands out as one of the two vehicles ranking in the top six for both the death rate of their own drivers and of other drivers. The other vehicle sharing this distinction is the Charger. The Kia Rio sedan has a 0 to 60 mph time of 9.8 seconds and a top speed of 118 mph.
Interestingly, the sedan version ranks higher on both fatality lists, while the hatchback variant fares lower in terms of fatalities for both its own drivers and other drivers.
    4.Chevrolet Spark:
With a recorded fatality rate of 151 deaths per million registered vehicles, the Chevrolet Spark faces increased risk and vulnerability for buyers due to its small size and limited safety features. The car can clock a top speed of 153 Kmph
The Chevy Spark, characterized by its minute size, lacked extensive active safety features and was discontinued after the 2022 model year. Notably, active safety technology, when available, is often optional, potentially having a limited impact on the safety performance of a model already situated in a segment with a high death rate.
    3.Hyundai Accent:
With a concerning fatality rate of 152 deaths per million registered vehicles during 2018-2021, the current generation of the Hyundai Accent, introduced in 2018, is marked by dissatisfaction. The 2021 Hyundai Accent achieves a maximum speed of 120 miles per hour. Despite its attractive appearance it falls short in performance within its category, being notably depressing, and lacks an inviting atmosphere.
It's worth noting that, before the release of this data, the driver death rate for the Hyundai Accent was nearly identical to that of the rear-wheel-drive Challenger models
